I've been thinking the price for the Wii-U could be lowered if they don't include GCN Controller & possibly Memory Card slots, and just allow the Wii-U controler to do the work of the GCN controller.
Of course I'm getting ahead of myself...
Gamecube VC is now possible, with 8GB system memory & the abillity to store VC data on SD cards...
Crash Twinsanity, Kingdom Hearts, & MGS 1+2 anyone?
...Gamecube disks hold up to 1.4 GB, and not all games use the maximum capacity you know; Dreamcast games hold 1.2 Gigabites.
Playstation One games hold even less...
...with only a few exceptions I guess. (MGS)
I thought a great name for Playstation Virtual console would be PlusOne games, to avoid lawsuit with Sony, it could also contain other 3rd party games of simmilar size, including a few slightly altered DS titles, 3DS Demos, and Jp N64 DD games.
N64 Disk Drive Games that saw japanese release...
F-Zero X Expansion Kit (???????????????????????)?(04/21/00)
Japan Pro Golf Tour 64 (??????????, Nippon Puro Gorufu Tsua?)?(05/02/00)
Doshin the Giant (??????1, Kyojin no Doshin 1?)?(12/11/99)
Kyojin no Doshin Kaihou Sensen Chibikko Chikko Daishuugou (???????????????????????)?(05/17/00)
Mario Artist: Communication Kit (????????????????????????)?(06/29/00)
Mario Artist: Paint Studio (????????????????????)?(12/11/99)
Mario Artist: Polygon Studio (????????????????????)?(08/29/00)
Mario Artist: Talent Studio (????????????????????)?(02/23/00)
SimCity 64 (??????64?)?(02/23/00)

No.

why would there be PS1/2 games on Nintendo's virtual console

why would there be PS1/2 games on Nintendo's virtual console
Because Sony doesn't own a single Playstation One game, and only made a few eyetoy games, plus Jak/Daxter, and Ratchet/Clank for PS2, and I couldn't tell the difference between the two games when I first played the demos.

What?
That logic makes no freaking sense.
You're implying that Nintendo should release PS1 games on the Wii U VC, which means it will have to be emulating these titles. Emulating PlayStation hardware, which belongs to Sony.
-
i wouldn't mind seeing GameCube and Dreamcast games on Wii U, as it would lower the pirce of the unit.
But the PS1 games, as Aiko-chan pointed out, would be difficult; since it would require SONY working with Nintendo, and i find that somewhat doubtful at this point.
-
I could totally see companies remaking old PS1 titles on the Wii U, since it wouldn't require emulating.
After all, Umihara Kawase DS included both the original SNES one and the PlayStation sequel on it.
-
ps1 maybe if 3rd party
gcn definatly since wii u cant play gcn games
dreamcast maybe if sega wants to put more games up.
-
There will be no PS1 VC.
-
Does the PS3 ring any bells?
I don't have a PS3 myself, but I could swear there are already downloadable PS1 games on there. ._.;
-
But PS3 suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
-
Crash Twinsanity would work as GCN Virtual Console though, because it was originally planned to be released on Gamecube, and it would be the first title I download.
-
But it wasn't released on the GameCube, was it?
-
No crash twinsanity was a ps2 exclusive plus the wii u cant play gcn games according to nintendo

It was also on Xbox...

If developers want to re-release their PlayStation titles on Nintendo's current consoles, they would port them as WiiWare titles, not Virtual Console ports! Nintendo has no right to use the term "PlayStation" anywhere! Nintendo are able to use SEGA's console names today because SEGA are no longer competing against Nintendo, so it would be fine to re-release SEGA's old games under their own console brands under a licensed agreement. SEGA can pull out their console brand names off the Virtual Console if they wanted to, and Nintendo won't be able to stop them either.

The most likely in my opinion is Sega Saturn

I think Wii U ware, instead, due to the larger amount of memory a Wii U has, except in cases of small games less than 2 GB like the original Crash Bandicoot, with few sound files, or 2D games like Inspector Gadget & Punky skunk,
