An upgrade to the forums initially failed, for reasons unknown. It took us a while to recover things, but in the process we found that our old skin was totally incompatible. We're in the process of fixing that, but we've opened the forums in the meanwhile to allow people to get on with their conversations.

Apparently the spambots got let in as well.  I'm sure things will be back to normal shortly.

Don't ask me about the Photobucket thing, this is the default SMF skin, not a customized NIWA skin. No idea why it's like that.

As for why the avatars are gone....also beats me. The stuff that caused the initial upgrade to fail had nothing whatsoever to do with avatars, those should have come through perfectly. Hell, I even still see them in the database. Something for us to look into.

All Xizor said in an e-mail was he "Imagines Bulbapedia is doing maintenance". Is that true?

Actually, the broken Photobucket link is to http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af353/Dathen69/niwalogo.png

You must have the broken logo entered in the software somewhere.
