April Fools' - For April Fools' this year, NIWA organized a collaborative prank between several of its member wikis and announced a big change: due to a falling out with Nintendo, NIWA would become "SIWA", or the Sony Independent Wiki Alliance.

Pikipedia became Patapedia; MarioWiki became the Crash Bandicoot Wiki; Nookipedia became Toropedia; Fire Emblem Wiki became TearRingSagaWiki; and Inkipedia became the Krillzone Wiki.

The 'Shroom - The 121st issue of The 'Shroom is now available here, which includes article spotlights, some fun "fake news," games, opinion pieces, and more.

Discord Servers - Over the past year, several NIWA wikis have opened up their own Discord servers. If you're interested in talking with fellow fans and editors, check them out!

Promotions - April saw four new promotions among NIWA wikis! Congrats to kjhf for his promotion to a bureaucrat on Inkipedia; Alex95 for his promotion to a patroller on Super Mario Wiki; Molldust for their promotion to an administrator of Zelda Wiki; and finally, Link Lab for his promotion to Deputy Director of Zelda Wiki.
