Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash is a game in the Chibi-Robo franchise, to be released for Nintendo 3DS in 2015. The game is a departure from the gameplay of previous games, being a 2D side-scrolling platform game instead of an adventure game.
In North America a bundle will be released featuring both the game and the Chibi-Robo amiibo.

In this side-scrolling game, Chibi-Robo uses his plug and cord to whip enemies, grapple onto ledges, and swing across chasms. Power-up the plug and cord to search for collectables and explore previously out of reach areas.

Gameplay
Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash is a 2D action-platforming game in which players play as Chibi-Robo, who is able to throw his plug as the main gameplay mechanic. Players can either throw the plug quickly to attack enemies with the "Wip Lash", or charge up the plug and aim it with the "Zip Lash", able to destroy obstacles, activate various mechanisms on a stage, climb up walls, and grab items. Like in past games Chibi-Robo still runs on a limited battery power, and can recharge at various sockets throughout the stage.[3] Certain sockets will give Chibi-Robo certain powers.[4]
By using the Chibi-Robo amiibo at any point in a stage, Chibi-Robo will become "Super Chibi-Robo", giving him twice the battery power and allowing him to run faster. At the end of every stage, experience will be given to the amiibo, allowing it to level up.[3]
