The Mario Paint BS Ban (Broadcasting Satellite version) was a special, discontinued version of Mario Paint for the Japan-only Super Famicom's add-on, the Satellaview.

Summary

The game is based on the original Mario Paint, but has a small addition/change to give it joypad support (the original could only be controlled with SNES Mouse). This series of Mario Paint variations, introduced an art contest that began in November 1997.

A winning picture from the contest, known as "Tsume o Yumemite" (月を夢見て) meaning "Dreaming of the Moon" would also be featured in a follow-up to the original BS Ban revision; known as Mario Paint Yuushou Naizou Ban (マリオペイント優勝内蔵版) - possible translation; Mario Paint Championship Insider Version.
