Also, Sheep Man wasn't based on Mareep. They just happen to both be based on a novel called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?".

MOD EDIT: Image was too big. Feel free to remove this message.

Seel. Oh god, SEEL. Even the name is uncreative.

The Spheal line gets props for at least being creative in design.
Spheal was from Gen. III and Gen. III sucked.
Aww but its so cute! im a sucker for the round ones though...Oddish and Gible
Im with you guys on the Regi*s though, they were pretty weak. I'm hearing alot of hate for the new gens, but lets not forget some of the weaker Gen Is, namely Jynx and Mr. Mime:

"I'm...just a lady"

"I'm...just a guy"

and also some Gen IVs were terrificly pokemon-y like Honchkrow and Rotom. In general I havent really disliked any gen as a whole, just specific pokemon. Of all the ledgendaries there arent many i like that much after gen I though.

also i must say I really dislike Lopunny, it doesn't even seem like they were trying:

Same goes for Dialga and Palkia. Though honestly i don't get them at all, i just didnt think they looked like pokemon. They dont even really look like they can move.

Ambiance

I liked Dialga :P
I thought it pretty much did it's part well, being the "God of Time" or whatever. I just don't like Palkia's pink tinted skin, it looks ridiculous considering it's size.

Do you see what I mean about them looking stiff though? I can't imagine it bending its neck downward or back, or raising its legs up particularly high. Same goes for Palkia, they just look like thats the only pose they can be in, and the art i have seen seems to confirm that.  Anybody have a counterexample?
Compare how dynamic gen III legendaries #380-#384 are to gen IV legendaries #483-#487. no contest in my mind. I get the feeling they realized that a little though, because Giratina's origin form can run with the best of them.

Ambiance

Yes, but it makes Dialga seem more powerful, which is what they intended. I agree though, few of the new legendaries look like animals, rather they look like giant robots. But in some medias and representations, Dialga has moved his neck  ;D And I believe that Palkia once moved his arms  ;D
I know, I'm as shocked as you are.

Umm I'd have to say each generation of Pokemon has a few who's design looks terrible. I'd have to say that 3rd and 4th Gen have the most though.

They don't, they dream of enslaving humanity.

Shaymin

Bad enough to start with but...

Why in the name of the Holy Aardvark did they have to put wings on a Chia pet?
As a form of protest, I refuse to make a signature...

Level 3

chia pet... nice reference there, it makes sense. Weird how I didn' t notice how shaymin is a chia pet pokemon

Lopunny- the hugely femenine species has a 50% chance of being female.  Why can't we just pull a Vespiquen, or even better, make a more gender-neutral evolved form?

Remino52

I never liked Feebas' design, it looks like a skin of a Magicarp to me.

Look for Big Red on the Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst Private Servers.

I agree.

Mandi

In Generation IV I'd have to say Bidoof was completely ugly, and his evolved form was even uglier. Magmar is just freakishly ugly. And the Soulsilver water-type starter, Totoodle was really bad looking.

Gormanbros

I agree with most others here.
I'd add
Probopass-I mean come on. A mustache?
Wurmple=Silcoon/Cascoon=Beautifly/Dustox- Haven't we done this before? Twice?
Feebas-Magikarp for Generation 3
What's up with Snorunt-Glalie? How does that become that?
Lickilicky
And it might just be me, but a few GenV Pokemon remind me of GenI-IV.
Minezumi-A POed Bidoof
Mamepato looks like Starly.
Koromori-Zubat replacement
Nageki and Dageki-Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, anyone?

KidIcarus

I absolutely hate the Generation 4, second-evolution Pokemon:

Tangrowth  - the worst IMO
Magnemite's 2nd evo
Magmortar
Electabuzz's 2nd evo
there may be some others that I can't think of right now

Level 3

Some of the new legendaries (specifically the fighting type ones) don't agree with me. While some of Gen 5 has goood designs, most are awful compared to older ones, or are just... meh.

One of my least favorites is the Fire Type starter's final form.

The titles says it all....If it doesn't, well sorry >>

What do you think is the worst Pokemon DESIGNS? Not the worst overall, just the worst design. (Although the two are highly related often, look at Luvdisc :P)
In my opinion, the Pokemon with the worst design is Infernape. it's name is even unoriginal.

What kind of person would chose to create a creature like this?

It's obvious that they just slapped together this creature at the last minute to coincide with it's previous forms. Sorry to Infernape lovers (it's actually a good Pokemon in battle) but I cannot stand it's design.

I hate the Chimchar line as well.

sheep man is epic  :D

but worst designs i have to go with the regis, to me it felt like they stopped trying with the regis

I also dislike those; they no longer resemble Pokemon, and seem like lifeless machines like no other legendary Pokemon before. They were a disappointment.

Oh... Come on! Infernape is my man-- monkey.. . flaming thing! He was my starter and he is now unused... I have a reason.. I was-- uh modding Pokemon Diamond for fun and I have Arceus and Celebi and all that crap...

This has to be said. The worst design has to be that new Ice Pokemon. The one based on an ice Cream. I mean, what the hell were they thinking!

TurtwigA

The worst is Piplup. It's evolution is great, but it is bad. Why? Because it just looks like that.

Trivia time: It's evolution line was also the only line designed by an American.

American stereotype time: That is why then. Americans only think of food.  ;D
