Post your Opinions about how you thought the latest pokemon games were

To me It was the best pokemon game i played since Emerald (first one i played) some of the pokemon looked ugly but i liked how they had animations
thanks to Kyuuketsuki on Bulbagarden for making this awesome banner

Guess who I am?!

Very meh, Took me three days to get around to beating the first gym. All the Pokémon I want to use I can't get tell Route 4 at the earliest.

NO IT'S GOOD NOT MEH

anyway, I'm only at Route 3 right now, considering I just got it last night, but it's definitely the best in the series, just barely topping Crystal and FireRed as my favorite.
I blame the economy.

I'm loving it. I may not be a fan of the new guys, but i love seeing them and having to try to figure out what they are in the first battle i run into them as.

It's like playing the original Red all over again.

Shayminguy7

I loved it. I haven't got a chance to get the English versions, but I loved the Japanese version. even if I can't understand it
The new designs were really nice this generation, and the music was spectacular. (Route 4 in the Summer, anyone?)

?Green?

I have a Japanese version of Black, and an English copy of White. I think that both games are fantastic. The graphics are amazing, the new Pokémon are interesting, and the plot is very enthralling.

pokemonforever2929

best paired version since gen 3
by the way I think they will remake frirered leafgreen AND ruby saphire emerald
storyline was not as good as gen 4's but still cool
graphics are revlotionary.

I would like this.

Maybe even a super-elite four, who does for the whole world what the regional elite fours do for their respective regions.

Exelent idea! I want it! Downloadable 3D stadium, or Mt. Battle with 5 modes, Single, Double, Triple, Rotation, & Multi, using Miis as Trainers, with thick lines removed from facial features, & custom Mii clothes, and a Pokemon Storage System with no dependence on the Wii, and a non 3D storage system & "Touchscreen MiniGame Corner" for DSi users.

Pokemon XD or Colosseum Remake for 3DS, compatibe with DS download play,
and a new Shadow Pokemon game with improved Mt. Battle mode for Wii.

Excuse my mini-modding, but you guys are sort of getting off topic.

Anyway, I felt BW to be a bit slow-paced before Gym 1. There's also way too much involvement of Team Plasma imo. But besides that, it's perfect.

Please give me internets! So much less bulkier than those eggs.

I like long, slow paced games... as long as there's challenging puzzles and tasks, in additon to tough opponents, and continuous aftertasks, it'll be a great game as long as the controls aren't too complicated for it's genre...

I will agree to this...  ;D

I'm on my second playthrough of the game, and here are my thoughts of the matter:
1. The game is painfully a plot course of "A to B". In the other regions, there was a bit of leeway in many areas where you could take multiple paths, and this allowed you to catch lots of Pokemon. Here, not so much.
2. For once, it's a Pokemon game that is actually enjoyable by adults that isn't too cringe-worthy. I had a great laugh at the Clerk Trisha who appears at the Ferris Wheel and wants you to battle her and then ride with her on the Ferris Wheel. Some of her comments are very... risque?
3. Team Plasma is one of the better teams in the franchise. Sure, they suffer from a lot of the old cliches like team members have weak Pokemon, but considering their stated goal is liberation of Pokemon, that is somewhat excusable. Not to mention they are the only team that has the highest success rate in their stated goals (N is arguably the champion for a short while). They are also the most sympathetic of villains, as their "vileness" isn't necessarily Black or White...
4. The lack of certain staples makes the games seem incredibly cheesy. Your options for rematchings are slim, and rebattling Gym Leaders is non-existent
5. The variety of Pokemon this generation is the same as with previous generations. You have some great Pokemon, a lot of meh ones, and some godawful ones. Still, this generation offers a lot of possibilities if you enjoy certain types of Pokemon (Dark, Ghost, Bug, and Dragon types are in abundance).

Frankly, the best way to improve these games is to restore the ability to rebattle Gym Leaders, and allow a process to age yourself 5-10 years and get married to a notable NPC.

The paired version never lets you rebattle Gym Leaders, I don't think.

Also, NO.
