What things in Nintendo games scared you as a kid or even still scare you today? For me, most of it came from Creepy Castle in Donkey Kong 64. The moaning combined with the chamber inside the skeleton creeped me out alot. But the Resident Demon in the minecart ride was the worst of them all. Not to mention the flaming skulls he shoots.
Nothing, because I'm not a pussy.
Nothing really "Popped out", but I was afraid of the Haunted House in Super Mario 64 for a bit because of the eerie music and THAT FREAKING PIANO. That thing made me jump!
I was 5 years old around that time, so the place doesn't scare me at all these days.
Lethal Lava Land painting in SM64 :police: Seriously XD
Mmm... it hasn't happened for a long while but,
I remember everytime in Yoshi's Story, when the yoshi died,
the creepy music and the shy guys came and bowser's castle and and..yeah.
If anything kept me from dying, it was to prevent that scene. xD

In fact, I did something really stupid due to that. I traded it for Mickey's SUper Speedway ;_;
Kretin and the Pihranna Plants inside Bowser (forget the name) from Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
While they weren't scary, they were creepy enough to give me the jibbiles.

Sorry to bump an old thread (but it's okay because we don't want duplicate threads, no?), but in response to this, I have to say that I almost laughed my head off when I read this.
I'd have to say when I was young, I was scared of Eely Mouth from
Super Mario Sunshine. I'm not anymore, though.

I had nightmares about WindWaker Re-deads for two years after I first played through the Earth Temple.
Also, for some reason, my 12-year-old brother is still afraid of the music in the WW Ghost Ship. He either makes me do it, or mutes the TV.
nothing from a Nintendo game scared me, MYST on the other hand...
The redeads in OoT! :<
