Angry Birds is garbage.

And really? After the creator called DS games $49 pieces of plastic?

pokemonforever2929

Angry Turds is one of the worst excuses for a game I have ever played.

You're paying money FOR A FLASH GAME.

A FREAKING FLASH GAME.

Big Rigs is worth more than this.

tacopill

I'm, i don't think there is a game called "Angry Turds"

Mari-Illustrious-Makinami

What I mean is that Angry Birds (and every "game" on the iTouch) is complete garbage.

If you want real gaming on the go, get a DS, 3DS, or PSP.

Justin

That's because the iPhone and iPod aren't made for gaming. People are just putting games on there because they can. Most of those games happen to suck, though.

i did read an article in Game Informer that said that cell games are catching up to portable gaming consoles in what they can do hardware-wise.

I haven't tried any cell phone games,  so i can't say anything about their quality....

I also don't currently have a phone that can't play those games...so, i can't even try them out.

Mari-Illustrious-Makinami

They're all crap for one reason.

DS, 3DS, and PSP all have buttons.

Mobile games lack buttons.

I'd much rather pay $35 for New Super Mario Bros than $.99 for a flash game.

Greenpickle

...There are touchscreen-only DS games.  Are those not worth bothering with?  Meteos?

Mari-Illustrious-Makinami

Except one difference.

The DS still has buttons.

Mari-Illustrious-Makinami

Remember, I have nothing against touchscreen DS games, because they actually have depth. Unlike iGames, which have NO DEPTH OR STRATEGY NEEDED.

Greenpickle

Wait, so you change your argument when it's argued against?  That's quite a generalisation, too.

Mari-Illustrious-Makinami

What.

No I hate iGames because they lack any depth or school. I couldn't care less if a DS game uses the touch screen. I just prefer not having every game use the touch screen exclusively.

Like GTA: CTW, I have it on DS but it's also on iPod and iPad, but I can't imagine it with just a touch screen.

Greenpickle

...Well, this is going nowhere.

There are games with plots and stuff, like Zenonia, which has levels and experience and alternate plotlines. Sadly, these are rare, but most iPhone/iTouch/iPad games aren't meant to have the same purpose or experience or whatever as normal video games. They aren't meant to appeal to the same audience, I think. More casual and stuff.

tacopill

they are probably designed to pick up and play, like on a bus or in a car; but allow for you to quickly switch to the phone part when needed or wanted.

I blame the economy.
