TouhouWiki (including En, zh, ru, es, pl, ko, etc) and MotK

I do not know if this information is going to the appropriate group for this or even if this is getting watched, so here goes.

(Disclaimer: I am not the admin, bureaucrat, or steward. I am simply a external relations specialist. My userpage is User:Drunk_Aya on en.TouhouWiki)

I am the external relations specialist (read: scout) for TouhouWiki which is the premiere independent wiki for Touhou Project and its related franchise. Likewise, I do some limited communications in the same capacity for Maidens of the Kaleidoscope, a large Touhou Project fan community. For this particular case, TouhouWiki would like to re-explore the possibility of being affiliated with NIWA or some equivalent as a non-Nintendo franchise affiliate to continuously improve our external relations with other websites. My other affiliation with MotK may also apply in the near future with a similar goal.

A while back, TouhouWiki requested information regarding joining such affiliation with no response. Please keep in mind that the English TouhouWiki gets approximately 50,000 visits per month with 40% of the traffic being new traffic. This does not count our sub-affiliated TouhouWiki languages including Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Polish, Korean, etc. I am certain we would have to go through an entire bureaucratic process at our end since TouhouWiki itself is an alliance of sites.

Of course, Touhou Project itself is not a Nintendo franchise by any means, but we would like more information.

from all experience that I've seen, you would very obviously not be eligible for actually joining NIWA, but becoming an affiliate is possible. Don't give up hope!

Wow, I didn't know Touhou was so popular.  I looked around the English wiki, and it looks great - I would be all for affiliation.

Like someone already suggested, another type of affiliation could happen, but becoming a full member defies the scope of NIWA being dedicated to Nintendo.

No worries, I don't think becoming a full member was ever being proposed in the first place, I'm sure the wiki would only want a simple affiliation, considering they are not a Nintendo franchise by any stretch of the word.

Just keep working and who knows. While a wiki of your variety is not a part of NIWA's agenda today, tomorrow is a new day. If Luigi and Mario and Ash Ketchum have taught me anything, it's that anything is possible even for people just like you and me who aren't in video games.
