Mine is the Vatican City because there is so much mystery behind it (The DaVinci Code for example).

The da Vinci code is fictional and has no historical basis, if you weren't aware.
On-topic, there's a lot which I like... Japan, Taiwan, Ireland, the celtic parts of the United Kingdom, pretty much all of Scandinavia... Romania as well, and perhaps Liechtenstein. The Netherlands are nice, too, and I'm sure I'm forgetting quite a bunch here. I can't really decide on a specific country :S (Also, why is Vatican City in the poll but not Italy? o.o)

In this context, that's like telling a 5-yrs old that Santa Claus doesn't exist

True but it still explores the mystique that surrounds the country. And I just forgot about Italy.
Moydow: Yeah it probably would have been smart to allow multiple choices.
Glowsquid: First of all, welcome to the NIWA forums. It's always nice to have new members, but please lets keep religion out of this discussion (http://www.niwanetwork.org/forums/index.php?topic=49.0). As OP, I feel the need to clarify that this thread takes no stance regarding the existence (or non-existence) of any and/or all religious figures

Santa is a religious figure? I know he's based off a saint, but he isn't
the saint...
Let's try to keep discussion focused on the countries of the world.
I think the Scandinavian countries are underrated. They have consistently received high ratings when it comes to the quality of life of their citizens.
