Lol, no, the games! and the music is so easy to find in youtube that it's not worth it. The book might already be in torrent, I don't want to search but knowing the internet...

Not my point, I was saying that the extra content is worth a look over, like borrowing it and then give it back. If at least they had added levels, or better graphics, something IN the games, but seeing as it's a re-release of a re-release. Great opportunity for new players though!

at least with these, i think we get the SNES-graphics version of the game, rather than the NES-graphics version.

This reaches us on the 3rd of December, so I still have a while to wait. Oh well, at least I have time to save up for it. :)

This book can be bought leagally in English, with the European version of the game, The disk won't work on a North American Wii though.

Thank you for the option, but i think i will try and get the North American Version.
Speaking of North American Version, i just read about this:
"
The Collection contains the Super Mario All-Stars Wii game disc, a 20-track CD featuring classic Mario music and sound effects, and a 32-page book containing never-before-seen original art and interviews with the series creators. All for just $29.99!" - Nintendo Power, v262 (Holiday 2010).
;D
Due to amazon messing up my order I ended up with two copies, I'll be selling one on ebay for anyone who wants it

Tacopill starts a fight with his shop-a-holic-ism.
I searched at WalMart, GameStop, and Best Buy. THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT!

Well, good luck finding it again :)
I can't find the game anywhere, my GameStop said they ran out of copies for preorderers! Haven't looked at Best Buy yet, think they'll have it. *knocks on some wood*
Looks like that extra copy of mine will come in handy...
RamblinEvilMushroomDS: What region of the world do you live in?

Congratulations! I know I'm planning to get it ASAP.
The book is the coolest thing, and I'm a bit disappointed with the soundtrack CD. The game was surprising since I'd never played it on the Super Nintendo.
I didn't get it for christmas! :'(
But i did get some money. So i plan on going shopping for it.....
Good luck- Is like $60 everywhere.

The whole, "It should have Super Mario World" or "It cost too much" Really anything the people of gamefaqs were complaining about.
Oh no, I don't mind the price at all. the walmart near my home has it for $40
I'm just more angry about the fact that Nintendo wasted so much space on the disk just by putting in Super Mario All-Stars.
It has rarely worked for me to expect to be disappointed. I would not recommend it.
I ended up not getting it. I got GoldenEye for $30 at K-Mart
After weeks of waiting, i have managed to pick it up!
If you haven't gotten it, and still want it, you may want to go to the store right now to get it.
Their final shipment went on sale today. (http://wii.ign.com/articles/114/1149919p1.html)
I'm still not getting it, it's a waste of a disk.

It's fine. You don't have to get it.
More for me.
I too managed to get a copy with the initial shipment of it. I won't say it was a regrettable purchase, but I was anticipating a little bit more out of it. Oh well, in the least, I got a legitimate piece of the 25th anniversary "birthday cake."
I presume Nintendo designed this compilation mostly with younger kids in mind, as they likely have neither played the game before, nor are they savvy enough to look up the same kind of historical info and music on the internet.
For people whom have not managed to get a copy, Nintendo of America had re-released the compilation in March for a second (and final) run! If you don't get your own copy this time, you'd have lost your chance... until probably in the next five years when Super Mario Bros. becomes 30!

I originally thought that Nintendo wasn't going to do something for the 30th anniversary, but considering that the 25th edition sold more than 2 million copies during the December release, they may actually do something.
im not going to get it... ever
I all ready have it for the SNES and it would be a waster of money for me
even though it has extras it is not enough for me to get it...

It doesn't have any extras (okay, well, the game itself doesn't) it's literally just SMA on the Wii.
Not even All Stars + World.
