Now, in the New Thread page you can choose in which board to post it
Added a new package of "random" avatars

We now have a shop! Link. (http://www.niwanetwork.org/forums/index.php?action=shop) I will put a button in bar above as soon as I discover how to. You get 3 credits for each post, 10 for each topic, you can spend this credits in the shop. For the lottery, you just buy a ticket (5 max), choose 4 numbers from 1-10, each week there will be a drawing, and if you get all 4 numbers right, you will get the jackpot (at least 1000 credits). If you have any suggestion for an item, just post the link to it and I will install it :)

May 2010
Better late than never. We now have child boards for Kirby and Metroid Games!

11/06/10

Spoiler tag installed

Colors in online list changed. Now Forum Admin is red, all Wikis Staff is blue, and G-Mod is green

11/23/10

The Forum now has a handheld device-friendly version! Works for Blackberry, iPod Touch/iPhone and Android!

hate to nitpick but I was hoping for real spoiler tags, I have a thread I want to make but it has a lot of pictures so I thought it would be easier and better for everyone to put them in spoiler tags

That is perfectly valid. I will find real spoiler tags.

There is one tiny problem, I don't find any compatible with our SMF version (1.1.11), the 2 I found can't be installed, if anyone has a link to one, I would appreciate it

If you're going to test something, use the "Preview" button rather than posting something entirely irrelevant in some thread.

The "mod"/"gmod"/"admin" tags don't work.  I should elaberate, as although only those with the corresponding powers can make them, anyone can see them.  I posted a comment with the mod tags in my profile, logged off, clearned my cache... and I could still see it.  Though, what it the purpose of these anyways?  It's not like non-admins can see the admin board (if there is one :P), and that non-staff can see the staff forums.

It is to add "notes" in the posts like:

Attention, admins. This post is dgihthjt

or

Watch out for this guy, he is a known vandal

They are useful. I will ask a non-admin user to tell me if he can see them

Did you even put the [ admin][ /admin] (without the spaces of course), in that post? :l

I think it is something with the permissions, let me check.

EDIT: It isnt. COntacted the mod creator, lets wait for his reply
EDIT2: It seems I misunderstood their use. Any rank can see them, but only those who have enough permissions can post them. I can guess an use for it. User X makes a post breaking one of the rules, we simply go, edit his post, and add a comment saying what we did.

Actually, I like that.  We don't have to post new "bumpers" if someone breaks the rules.

:)

I asked Stooby which spoiler tags does the MW use, and he gave me the link, I will try to install them when I am home (in school atm)

The "sticky any topic" item, while it could be fine now due to so few members... could be a problem when the traffic increases.

[Does it even work?]

Also: the "change display name" item doesn't work as it says it is a hacking attempt.

If it becomes a problem, I can make it more expensive.

It does, some people have already used it

Things I saw for possible SMFshop items:

)Make name big [I don't know the size]
)Bold name [Isn't it already bolded?]
)Underline name
)Increase total time logged in

[All of them seem to be the most common, and most default-like.]

THe first three need complex coding and a difficult installation AFAIK
And the fourth one may be a viable option

Our admin Tucayo/Aurum seems to have solved the problem, which means you should be able to edit your profile again.
If there still are problems left, please report them to us.  ;)
