Did you find this place from Bulbapedia, ZeldaWiki, Super Mario Wiki, or something else (friend, random link etc.)?
I found this place from Bulbapedia personally.
(I don't know how to make a poll...)
-
Bulbapedia. Or more specifically, Bulbanews.
And I'm afraid making a topic with poll is currently unavailable in this forum.
-
Bulbapedia
-
I found it from Bulbapedia. :mario:
-
Bulbapedia like everyone else.
-
Bulbagarden chat. Hello to all here!
-
It was Bulbapedia's idea, I swear.
-
Bulbapedia!
-
MarioWiki.
-
Does Bulbapedia have more users than MarioPedia or something? Or is it just the time of day factor?
-
MarioWiki.
Basically this.
-
Obviously Bulbanews/garden/pedia you get the idea.
-
I'm not surprised that a lot of these people came form Bulbapedia since that place is a popular Wiki site. That, and it's the only one of the Wiki's to display the alliance on the news on the main page.

Same here.
-
A little birdy told me from a certain Skype chat.
-
Bulbapedia, like everyone else :P
-
Saw the news on Zelda Informer (http://www.zeldainformer.com/2010/02/niwa---nintendo-independent-wiki-alliance.php).
-
My buddy Axi mentioned it to us all in ZW's Skype chat once it went online.
-
Found out about it from this backwater place called Bulbapedia that no one has heard about.
-
MarioWiki.
-
I was violently forced to join by 2257 and his dog poochy.
-
No way man.
I came here from the Super Mario Wiki, of course.
-
Found it on Bulbapedia, making a comic about it on Mario Wiki's meta-wiki, Userpedia.
-
From an ad in Nintendo Power.
...I mean, from the Super Mario Wiki.
-
ZeldaWiki.
...Bulbagarden actually, yeah.
-
Bulbapedia/Bulbanews, like it was mentioned, it was the only one to mention it on the front page.
-
One day I fell asleep in the internet... When I woke up, this place had been built around me.
That's embarassing though, so I tell everyone I'm from the Mario Wiki.
-
Through Bulbanews, though I heard about it a moment or two earlier from somewhere else :p
-
uh... well, Archaic contacted MW anbout this alliance :P
-
Funny for me. I woke up today, and thought to myself "should I check Mario Wiki, or Bulbadpedia first?"
I went with Bulbapedia.
...Sorry Mario :/
-
Apollo gave me an oracle that directed me here.
(i.e. Mario Wiki Forum)
-
Bulbapedia!
Ditto, sup dude.
-
I was actually the first MarioWiki member Archaic talked to about this alliance.

Whats your MW nick? Im curioius :P
-
Is that Rath? I'm not sure.
-
I'm the magnificent Master Lucario. Also known as the radical Rath. Or the zany Zoroark.
-
I check Bulbapedia 3 times a day for updates. And.. yea.
-
I wrote the story.

Big deal, I made this redirect (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Niwa&redirect=no)

Stooben Rooben wanted me to join because I'm a MarioWiki Forum Admin and he thought it'd be cool. Nice to be here.

You win this round.
-
It was Bulbapedia that dragged me here...Zelda and Mario wiki had no mention of this site when I last checked.

Why is the article protected?
EDIT: I also tried to create a Super Mario Wiki article, only to find that it, too, is protected.
-
Ooh! -raises hand-
BULBAPEDIA! ;3
Ehe..
-
I found it through a Bulbanews article.
-
I'm an editor on Bulbapedia and I landed here through curiosity/surfing.
-

The news article in bulbanews? only those of the writer or administrator user group can edit mainspaced article there.
and for the SMW article, yeah, I just saw that one too.
-
Being a Pokémon freak who loves visiting the site to find out info every now and then, I found out from the Bulbanews section on the main page.
See? Bulbapedia is the main reason most of us are here right now!
One of the reasons I left Mario Wiki was because there wasn't enough life there...

When did you leave? D:
-
I'm not saying, because I don't want people to know who I was back then. I can say I was a big troll, that's for sure.
But I decided to pack that in and left the Mario Wiki... it was always empty anyway...
I'm a Pokéfan now...
Anyway, that's not the point.
So yeah, I think as long as that little news post about NIWA is still on the Bulbanews section on the Main Page, we can expect to see more and more users joining who say they were led here by that piece of news. :)
-
Let Zelda Wiki gloat about the magazine article mention a bit, and when it dies down I'll put a news post above it bump it down :( At least 2 of our member sites posted an article (Zelda Universe and ZeldaInformer) Which was in the RSS feed for a while.

Because we don't want derps coming by saying "uh super maryo wiki is a wiki about maryo and weegee". We get it. A lot. For real.

Per. That tends to happen a lot, also with Main page

Enjoy the extra mention!

I got here from both SMW and Bulbapedia, however I've never touched the Zelda Wiki in all of my life and I don't intend to
BTW: Can someone give this place a livelier background, because it makes this place look very dull

I don't think that's happening anytime soon...
Anyway, I like this background! I'd be put off by something too dramatic!
...Oh yeah, post things like that in "Suggestions", there's gonna be loads of ideas for this place and we don't them overcrowding different topics. :police:
kthxbai!
-
That guy with the thick 'stache and red hat led me here.
...Naw, I stumbled upon this place through trusty 'ol BulbaNews. 'Cause nothing beats Bulbapedia. -brick'd-

Gee, everybody seems to be from Bulba... MarioWiki must advertise better. :P

I never said they were advertising better. I said that MarioWiki has to advertise better. I think you're misunderstood.

That's what I mean. .-. I don't want MarioWiki to advertise better.
-
Meh, I discovered Bulbapedia by Googling something pokemon-related, and BAM! First link was to a page on Bulbapedia. -w-
If I typed in "Mario," would MarioWiki come up easily...? Hmmm. I should try. =P
-
It seems that Bulbapedia/Bulba news owns. Maybe it's because you know, Pokémon is Nintendo's most selling franchise at the time, so its fandom must be bigger than that of Mario's.
-
Well kinda. It is partly because the Pokémon fandom is alot larger and stuff. Though it has nothing to do with how the franchises is doing. The Pokémon fans from Bulbapedia are all hardcore from what I've seen. Though most of the MarioWiki's community (and extended community) are retired users and stuff, so not alot of them still go to the wiki or wiki-related places like this anymore. Plus, we aren't as
obsessive er... "devoted" to the series we love. We don't really do enough fanon/fan stuff to be considered a fandom.

No, Bulbapedia is way cooler.
Its jsut more trafficated, thats all.
-
How did I find this place?
BMGf link mainly.
Although it took me a few minutes to realise that we have a forum as well.
-
ZeldaWiki, though it was Bulbapedia that first grabbed my attention. Then, Archaic's post at the MarioWiki forums finally made me take the decisions to register here.
-
Mariowiki.
Garlic Man linked to the new Metroid Wiki and I thought I'd check out other members of NIWA.
-
i saw a link to this on bulbapedia
-
I found this from Bulbapedia. I'm not a member of their forums, but I periodically check it out because their articles are REALLY cool. :)
-
Bulbapedia. I had alreagy known about the other 2, but i check Bulbapedia every day pretty much.
-
The obvious way. Typing nintendo wiki independent alliance on google and clicking the second link.
Where I got the idea from typing nintendo wiki independent alliance on google? It all started when I typed mario wiki on google. I came to this place called the Super Mario Wiki. I became a user there and I learned about NIWA. I learned that there are 4 other websites also in NIWA (Zelda Wiki, Metroid Wiki, WiKirby, and Bulbapedia) and a forum. :eekdance: :-\ :eekdance: :police: :eekdance: :mario: :eekdance:
