(Found it odd there wasn't a topic like this)
Anyhoo, seeing how the holidays just past and we all got another 2,000 or so Wii Points to spend, this is basically a discussion topic where people can discuss what's good to get on the Shop Channel. You know how it is on WiiWare, you either pick a good game and be happy, or you pick a crap game but no refunds, which suck.
You can either recommend what games to get or what great games you already have (or both)
My favorite games off Virtual Console (in no particular order):
-Donkey Kong Country (1 or 2)
-Kid Icarus
-Paper Mario
-Final Fantasy II (FF4 technically, GREAT game, see also "The After Years")
-Super Street Fighter II
-Super Smash Bros.
To be honest, I hardly use the WiiWare games, mostly because they don't look too good by the looks and I don't wanna risk crap quality. Sonic 4 looks good though.

TTYD; best VC game...well, technically it's the only one I've got but meh, I think it's the best.

He's talking about the original Paper Mario. TTYD was for the Gamecube. They're both pretty great, and my favorite Mario series for sure!

Jake, I would think that a Mario Wiki staff member would know what system a Mario game is on...
Anyways, Mario Kart 64 is awesome. I wish Earthbound was there, because $300 is too much for the game (so say my parents)...

I was just confused by his wording. Nintendoguy1- Sorry if my post sounded a bit corrective. :-[ And I agree; Paper Mario TTYD was the best. It has just a few more elements to it that made it feel more complete than the first game. I like how it still references the previous game in a few areas. (Koopa Koot, Lady Bow, etc...)
I heard Mario Party 2 came out on Virtual Console. I'll probably get that!

This topic is about the Wii Shop Channel, and it's turning more of a debate over of how we categorize things here. Could you take it elsewhere? :-\
As for Paper Mario, I'll be sure to look out for TTYD (I know a Gamestop with a bunch of used GC games, pretty cheap).
