Post by: R7308xx on February 18, 2011, 07:55:51 PM
What compilations do you want to see in the future? For me it's EarthBound Rockin' Combo.

Mother trilogy. I'd rather have Dragon Quest I, II, III and VII then IV - VI and IX.

Mother Super Ultra Mambo-Tango-Foxtrot Combo!

Technically, there's three Stadiums-- There's one only released in Japan that only worked with like 42 Pokemon, the improved one we got, and Stadium 2. None of them were really called "Stadium 3" though, iirc (2 was called GS in Japan), and including the Japan-only one would be pretty redundant.

I know that and Stadium JP sucked eggs.

I was referring to the new Pokémon Wii game which I think will be Stadium 3. But still it's gonna come out eventually.

And Tina, how do you hate Pokémon yet still know everything about it?

Former fan, got tired of it. Being in the fandom for several years really makes you hate things. lol

I didn't expect EBRC to be that popular with the hater lurking around.

Well since 2/3 of the series has yet to have a legitimate US release, it makes sense.

Contents of EarthBound Rockin' Combo:

-A 240 page EarthBound history book featuring clay models and promotional merch (a.k.a. much cooler than the Mario one) ($5)
-The Mother 1+2+3 Soundtrack ($15)
-A Mother 3 Franklin Badge and EarthBound strategy guide with scratch-n-sniffs (yay for bringing back stuff) ($30)
-An EarthBound Rockin' Combo strategy guide ($20)
-The game of course (for the DS/ 3DS) ($45)

All for the measley price of $80 (the stuff will be sold individually for a total of $115).

And for Pokémon:

-A limited-edition Pokémon wall scroll featuring the legends from the Canalave Library (made from Egyptian papyrus) ($10)
-A disc featuring all 14 movies and never-before-seen cut footage and interviews with Satoshi Tajiri ($15)
-An Ancient Mew card ($3)
-The first 5 chapters of Pokémon Adventures ($30)
-A glass Adamant Orb, a ceramic Lustrous Orb, and a metal Griseous Orb ($30)
-The game of course ($27)

For a combo price of $80 (and an individual combined price of... $115. How surprising.)

Are you stating something doesn't exist because you don't like it?

Because I don't like it?

Stadium JP only had 42 of the 151 Pokémon in it and if you didn't have one of the games, you could only battle.

yes, but whether or not something exists is independent of you tastes or preferences.

I see that someone went a tad eager and optimistic on the Pikmin one, although I'm not necessarily viewing it as a bad thing at all, Pikmin (1) was an overall joyful experience and I must purchase the sequel sooner or later. Though I'm not familiar with any confirmations or rumors on a 3DS one? :0

I'd anyway choose Mother as well because of the current lack of releases (heck, I'm not even able to experience EB on its original console because of that kind of international absence). Star Fox 2 would also be nice to have released as I think playing that game on a keyboard was relatively awkward.

Yes! Star Fox 2 would be wonderful to come out!

And i should also get Mother/EarthBound. Would make helping out at WikiBound easier.  :D

Itoi said something on Iwata Asks along the lines of "Oh! There's Pikmin!"while he was playing the 3DS.

No it doesn't. For all we know, it was just a tech-demo of Pikmin.

After all, Capcom got Resident Evil 5 to run on the 3DS, does that mean RE5's coming out on the 3DS? No.

An EarthBound compilation is desperately needed (outside of Japan). I was so pissed that they didn't release Mother 1+2 (or Mother 3 for that matter) despite the obvious demand for it. I remember Nintendo Power even reported on Mother 1+2 ;_;

The Pokémon ones i'm not sure are even possible, given the current technology. a nice dream, i guess, though, haha.

(the problem too with compilations is a lot of the time i don't care because i own all the original games... i'm old, aren't i.)
