1-I can't wait to see it. Hopefully it will be compatible with Wii games
Also games may also cost as much as the Xbox and Ps3 games

I hope it doesn't push up the price too much. Granted, Nintendo's usually been good with that, and that's probably the reason the Wii doesn't have that sort of hardware, but still.

Nintendo also said it will be a whole new controller- not an updated wii controller- that will have a touch screen on it they also named it "project cafe"

Here's the thing with this - with IGN, GameInformer, and Kotaku all reading this, it's likely s***.
Notice how Nintendo themselves haven't actually announced anything.

What I'm hoping for this system is to be significantly more powerful than PS3/360, I am not expecting this to be on the level of a PS4 or neXtBox but for the new Nintendo system to be powerful enough that it can get downgraded ports of PS4/nextbox games. That was the problem with the Wii not getting third party games and getting PS2 ports that makes Wii games look worse than Gamecube games even if the Wii is far more powerful than the Gamecube was.
Even if Nintendo does the bare minimum with just slightly above 360/PS3 graphics like last gen with the Wii being more powerful than the original xbox I'll be all over it, even if we've had consoles that can do that for years now, we've never had Nintendo games done with those specs yet so it'll still be awesome. What I'm most excited is about the controller, I am glad Nintendo tries to innovate even if its not always a hit. I can not believe that the PS3 uses basically the same PS1 controller, ugh.

Oh joy, more console madness? I'm still trying to decide if I should grab a PS3. I suppose I will, since I tend to grab consoles in alternating orders from manufacturers (N64, PS2, Wii, and I suppose next will be PS3).

Nintendo has announced a new system, that would feature a different controller, possibly with gyroscope/infared motion sensing controls,
but what is still not confirmed is a dualtouchscreen that changes its buttons depending on the game and still unconfirmed is the abillity to temporarally store some games onto the controller.
...with 8GB on board flash memory for saving photos, files, and games
I'm hoping for L/R triggers, and a Slide pad as well as two actual buttons, resembling a SNES, controller with L/R triggers and a Touchscreen...

One thing for sure it is playable at E3 that iss the only thing confirmed the rest may or may not be true
edit: a little while ago but this might be leaked private showing of the project cafe.

It's going to need some excellent 3rd party support.
Also, i hear rumors that it will be an HD system.

It definitely needs some power. I can't stand those titles for Wii which are the "weak" versions of the 360/PS3 version.

Big emphasis on the controller. No specs yet, probably won't get any for a while. They did announce big 3rd party titles, so has to be on par with 360 and PS3.

The Wii U actually looks promising. The controller is cool, and, from what I've heard, isn't as uncomfortable as it looks. So far, the Wii U looks like a powered up Wii and a new controller. I like that it has good backwards compatibility and that it uses all of the controllers of the Wii, so I won't have to buy too many new controllers.

But look at all the flak the Wii has gotten from "hardcore" gamers, does Nintendo really think a system supposed to attract them called the "Wii U" really will appeal?
