Excellent! A newly converted member! MW will be fortunate to have you. WiKirby would be too, but it's understood you guys staff the Kirby Wikia site. I'm grateful that you're all members of some of the independent wikis and NIWA tho.

yeah sometime, this fall I'll make a couple of cards. Which means I'd have to find those old MTG cards to get a refresher.

I was thinking about this earlier. The card game bit really. Many people try to force games like Zelda into card games, and the fits aren't really that natural. (I know, you're not trying to create a Zelda one, but Mario is an odd choice too.) The series that I think is perfect for it already has Land attributes, attack/defense ratings, strengths/defense against X, and abilities for cards.

Nintendo Wars does all that. I can see it being played similar to Magic-The Gathering, with people building a specific deck for Naval, Aerial, Ground combat; having terrain cards such as Mountains which provide defense boosts, but can only be used by foot soldiers. Having to "tap" a certain number of say Air (terrain) cards to employ a Battle Chopper. Substitute "Gas" for a number of lands needing to be tapped to play the card, and so on

CO powers as ability cards. Or even special cards such as a ship being blocked by a hidden submarine. Fog of War- players turn their cards face down and can rearrange them so the attacker wouldn't know what was being attacked until after deciding which card to attack. etc.

It could work out so well.

Plus, repeating characters in a deck is odd, so several Links/Marios, etc would need some explaining. Wars repeats the units anyway so the fit is even more ideal.

Welcome aboard Moydow! Based on your work at WK, I can say that Strategy Wiki has been lucky to have you as an admin. I will envy them! Untangling the many things you have at WK is a special skill in my book.

I am noticing a trend: a lot of wiki's like to put a "table of contents" near the upper right hand corner of the main page....

not that i am saying anything negative or positive about it, i am just curious why this is?

Main Pages aren't formatted the same as others, so the table of contents would be a miserable fit.

Trying to design a Main Page, Have a look and give me some feedback. If you can "fix" the core format, by all means do so. It's been a nightmare for me, bc I have to cheat the boxes into lining up.

  But it was only able to even be used at all because you found so many entries for it. Yeah, we deserve to pat each other on the back for that one. That way we can both eat acknowledgment and keep our modesty (cake) too!

That's not laziness. I say this because I use Axiomist everywhere. :p Anyhow, all 3 of my articles are done, I think I'm going to continue working on WiKirby for tonight, then tomorrow's online time is Wars Wiki time for me.

I like Wars Wiki! I've included Wars Wiki work in my rotation. At the moment, I'm trying to get 3 stage articles done for Canvas Curse. Then I go back to Wars Wiki to try an idea I had for my main page side project. I also bought Dual Strike to be able to do more there later.

Never played Earthbound :S Space games didn't appeal to me back then, which is why I missed out on Star Fox and Super Metroid.

Well, we rarely have general wiki editing discussions, favorite userboxes, etc. Soooooo..... Let's start doing that.

I want to alter the terrain to aid in battle. Such as destroying roads when I'm nested, or building roads when I'm on an offensive streak. I'm thinking a unit like the Rig of DoR should be able to do that.

I second the air-refueler suggestion.

Amphibians, currently only foot soldiers can cross small rivers. But the RL Humvees and some other amphibious vehicles can do that as well.

Kirby would be good as a 3-D photorealistic CGI!

LoZ would be too, but to remain true to the series Link has to be mostly silent. It's been done in movies before, Gamer's Gerard Butler character rarely spoke, even when he wasn't being controlled. Other movies as well, but that's the most recent.

Using real people in game movies just seems all wrong.

Today I beat Ganondorf and obtained the whole Triforce, but Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule was the one to use it and make a wish. FML.

We can create a NIWA skype chat for any and all members. But I can tell you that the NIWA staff chat has a conversation almost everyday. Not quite everyday, but almost. I'd expect a larger one to be active daily. You'll have to download and install the software, but it's free and painless (as far as we know).

Wow, I want a Wiki-tan too! I can draw, but never tried the anime style. :s

ZW's would be easy, any one of, or all 3 Golden Goddesses, Nayru would be a good fit, but the Farore image is awesome too.

nah, it's just a joke from NSider. Before Twilight Princess released we had help questions for it in threads and people would do like Lord Ferrok did and post sarcastic tips.
