wikis take a long time to set up and have information ready and filled out, it would probably be all nice and filled up right after everyone is done playing around with Tomodachi Life

wikis are more than just information: they're setting up templates, finding editors that will work, laying down ground rules and standards and if it's independent, finding hosting solutions

it sounds like a good idea but do we really need a wiki for every little thing?

WikiBound is.... um.... mostly inactive with occasional edits. In the last 30 days, 6 days of activity in which 4 editors have made 10 mainspace edits. However, editors pop in every now and then to show that it hasn't been abandoned completely.

This is mostly due to our small pool of editors probably being busy with other things (ex: school), lack of motivation (man who even uses WB over Starmen anyway??), or that it's kind of hard to scrounge up info on a dead series.

I get the feeling it's linked to ZeldaWiki in some way, going by the "Waiting for zeldawiki.org..." at the bottom of the page. It should be back up... uh..... soon?

taco also mentioned something about us running out of space/bandwidth or something pretty soon, so we might be doing a server upgrade soon too.

It really depends on the wiki. I've come across a lot of good wikis hosted on Wikia that were pretty good, and fulfilled my needs nicely. As a non-editor, anyway. And then you have unbelievably terrible ones that suck as a resource *and* from an editing viewpoint. But I don't think they need to suffer or be destroyed. The bad resources are the editor's fault, not the people who run Wikia.

On the other hand, Wikia itself and its staff...? I would describe it as "highly punchable". I've just seen so many issues with the staff and all the legal crap and the default skin is terrible and blech. But again, I wouldn't say they need to suffer or anything. That's over the top. :|

So I would say that I like some wikis on there mostly because they're run by competent people who know how to run a good wiki, while others are just terrible. But honestly, you could say the same for anything, Wikia-hosted or not.

Does the PS3 ring any bells?

I don't have a PS3 myself, but I could swear there are already downloadable PS1 games on there. ._.;

It's like the occurrence when lipstick transforms into chainsaws whenever someone refers to it. Isn't it weird?

Or like when teddy bears turn into knives...?

(please tell me you read Problem Sleuth too)

You don't have to repost things that you said just an hour ago, you know.

WikiBound's probably going to be down for a while longer, since we've been having difficulty in getting the domain to work. Not sure how much longer, but I figure I would post about it instead of leaving people in the dark. :I

For now, it's up at this URL: http://wikibound.mojeda.net/WikiBound Hopefully we can get the usual URL working again soon. :I

Should I get the Mother 3 Deluxe Box or a boxed Earthbound with the 350 I'm getting for my birthday?

Good question. I am also debating this for my birthday in two months or so.

Can't help. Sorry.

I actually thought the same until I got one.

It comes in handy a lot when you're out. It's very possible to live without them, but there's a lot of moments where you can go "oh! I can look that up right now, how convenient" when you're out.

Posting some more stuff here to make it look like this board is alive

yeah that's pretty much the only reason why

All of Lucas's Brawl color schemes. It was a boring weekend. Colors are fun. etc. (Click for full-size. It's rather wide.)

Hinawa, Poo, Paula, Lucas, Kumatora, and Claus. All part of me going on a massive drawing spree and playing with colors. Again. Some are kind of hit-and-miss (Lucas's color scheme, blegh), but that's the nature of mad science experiments.

Part of an art trade with someone on another forum. Just Claus being cute. :33 I see him with red/green eyes a lot in fanart and thought I would try applying that for fun. Turned out.. interesting.

Homestuck/EarthBound crossover! DURP. Paula reaches the god tier, as the Maid of Light. (The necklace she's wearing is a Star Pendant, btw. :O)

Android rules

that's really all there is to say on the matter

iPhones have a lot more apps, though, I find myself going "ooh--- oh... iPhone only. dammit!" a lot.

Climax of Mother 3.

This.

Tears. Every single time. I've played the game like, four times, and I cry so hard every time. (I mean. The game's tagline is "Strange, funny, and heartrending" for a reason.) All of the other events in the game (Chapter 1, 6, etc) result in just mass D:ing, but my god.

I can't think of anything that's hit me as hard as that.

Anju and Kafei is also pretty heartrending though. Especially the last part. ffffff

It's not really that hard to transfer files to a phone... or at least on Android it works exactly the same as a flash drive. And can charge it too. Not sure what complicated shenanigans iPhones or other phones have to go through.

I've seen that commercial before, though. Definitely wasn't an iPod/Phone.

This is slightly off-topic but I figured I would say this anyway: Chromium is the open-source base that Google Chrome is based off of. Google Chrome adds several Google-centric features to it.
