« on: April 30, 2013, 02:04:13 AM »As of today, WiKirby is back online. Don't ask me why or for how long; the period between the last downtimes was only a few days. I haven't heard anything from Adam and he didn't put an explanation on WiKirby either; I don't know if he's even responsible for getting it back online or what on earth has been happening to it. It's certainly not profiting from the downtimes and lack of clarity on them (or even certainty that they will be looked into within any reasonable amount of time or at all).Want a new host? I currently host Golden Sun Universe and Wikimon, and would be willing to take on WiKirby.

So, I added these to Wikimon, and if anyone is interested in my hackjob of a mod, here it is:
For the bottom, underneath the content:
In MonoBook.php, find:
If you want the Tweet/Facebook icons over in the sidebar, right under the logo... in MonoBook.php, find
Hackjobs, but a bit of social media never hurt anyone :-D
Oh, and for the Twitter ones, make sure to change data-via="digiwikimon" to your own Twitter usernames~

I use a dedi. I've attempted to host Wikimon on shared (got told to go away), then on VPSes (kept hitting limits), and then a dedi. We even had to upgrade the dedi because Wikimon kept killing the server. 
The server costs $160 a month, and I share the cost with 3 guys.
But it seems to be working; I have GSU and Wikimon running fine. And have toyed with the idea of doing another wiki, but not sure what for~

Wow. That seriously sucks. At least you got some sort of back-up... when Wikimon server crashed, we lost everything and had to start over.
I was not a very popular person at the time.

(Read: I can't be the only non-staff person that is getting sick and tired of hearing the words "staff forum", as it seems everything is discussed behind closed doors. Not quite a "community" but instead a group of wiki owners deciding for everyone...)
