All of the templates on SmashWiki that use Template:Navbox are currently generating a redlink in the top-left corner because the link is being made without the Template: namespace prefix.

For example, Template:SSBMStages has a useless redlink to "SSBMStages" where there should be a link to "Template:SSBMStages".

However, after trying to figure out what in Template:Navbox was causing the issue, I was stumped.  Anybody know how to fix this?

You don't have StringFunctions installed, which is messing up {{Tnavbar}} (the thing that generates the view, discuss, edit links). Since that isn't installed, {{#pos}} doesn't work and just posts as plain wikitext, so {{#if:{{#pos:{{{1}}}|:}}||Template:}} is always true, so it never returns the Template: part.

At this pace we're going to have around 40 members at least.

Question is, are there that many Nintendo franchises?

nope, only 27, but for NIWA perhaps even less than that since they broke up Pokémon into the main series and the Mystery Dungeon as two different franchises, whereas Bulbapedia covers both and they broke up Mario into the main Mario series, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Wario, and Yoshi, which are all covered in the Mario wiki, which leaves 22 "franchises" total. So, if NIWA gets all of them, that's 22 wikis plus any wikis that don't cover a specific franchise but still cover Nintendo-related content (like perhaps a series that releases for multiple platforms but has always or almost always included Nintendo platforms in their releases, or had Nintendo-only releases)

most certainly a WikiAngel in terms of StrategyWiki as I've been mainly doing backend stuff for quite some time and pretty much dropped off the face of the wiki frontend-wise (but still patrol rc every so often :P)

ooo, which wiki's and extensions?

other wikis: www.mediawiki.org (wiki about the MediaWiki software), www.thetestwiki.org (wiki for testing what admin tools do, among other things), a few wikis on wikia (bureaucrat on gaming.wikia and mtg.wikia, although I haven't been there at all recently due to all the crap going on), and shoutwiki
extensions: see here for a partial list (I've written some extensions for people that wanted them to remain closed-source, so those are obviously not listed)

sweet! Would you be interested in teaching me how to do extensions?

sure, pm me with what you'd like to know so we don't hijack this thread :)

Heyo!

After having been frustrated by the signup captcha not working properly for about a week now, I finally figured out a way around it and created an account! woohoo!

Anyway, I'm a bureaucrat on StrategyWiki, and have used Bulbapedia extensively for info on Pokémon games. I must admit that I have had no (or minimal) involvement in other NIWA wikis, and that probably won't change due to school and work  :(

I'm involved in a few other non-NIWA wikis and am also a MediaWiki developer (having written a handful of extensions and a couple of core features)
