Pokémon / Re: Black or White?

So far, I'm going to say White. I just don't like the look of Reshiram.

I'm still going to wait and see the version-specific Pokémon before my final decision.

I can barely remember.

I think it's because I got my first online account when I was about seven, and I had just visited an aquarium, and was obsessed with the otters there. At the time, my family lived in the California rockies.

It made sense at the time, and I use it(or some variation) almost everywhere.

Wait. Is it a full HGSS/FRLG-style remake, or just a version playable on a new system?

I was under the impression they would just convert it to 3DS.

I'll end up getting it eventually. I'll still be using the DS, though, because the 3DS doesn't have a GBA slot.

so it looks like they are going to maximize the capabilities of the DS wow it looks like they are goin all out on this one

I'm not surprised. D/P/Pt felt more like experiments than actual games. HG/SS was a little better, but I can think of alot of ways they could have done it better. Now they know what they can do, so they're going to do all they can.

I'm just surprised they don't want it on the 3DS.  If it's done enough to have at E3, than why don't they wait until it comes out?

I had nightmares about WindWaker Re-deads for two years after I first played through the Earth Temple.

Also, for some reason, my 12-year-old brother is still afraid of the music in the WW Ghost Ship. He either makes me do it, or mutes the TV.

One of those two? There are five of us. For this mistake you must be killed.

Can I do it for you? I bet his screams would be lovely as I gouge out his eyes.

*hits above with rake* You ain't never gonna be one of us.

Well, there already is one of us. I am of the opinion that we are simply different reflections of...

Yes, I am the alter-ego man.

Than I am the ego man, gu-gu-gachoo.

How can a hamster have residence inside your brain? The human brain is inefficient enough to be made of solid matter, and thus impossible for a living macroorganism to inhabit.

If that doesn't answer you question, I doubt anything will.

Input Error. Answer is dependent on a subjective adjective. Rephrase for accuracy.

Competent compared to what? Bowser? Daisy? Zelda? Or the "real" world's rulers? Do you honestly expect a video game character to exactly match up to earth's standards exactly?

You're both full of c***.  She is almost always being captured, she has no army, and she has allowed mushrooms to evolve legs, faces, and sentience. Even when she isn't, she's constantly running off on some vacation.

For that matter, do we even know if she's the ruler at all? How do we know there isn't a king?

Did you ever see a king? No? So no king.

By that logic, the soup chef Shimi made on the Poshley Express can't exist either, because it was eaten before the player could see it.

Now that's a completely different matter.

A king... I would love to sink a knife into his ribcage...
--------------------

And this proves that not only am I completely insane, but I am also capable of debating several different sides of an argument at once.

Pokémon / Re: Type combinations you wish to see

Did I say Poochyena? I probably meant Houndour. For some reason, I get them confused.

And if anything groundbreaking happens with Flying, I think it will be putting it by itself.  But they probably won't until they can think of something that can only possibly be Flying type. In fact, as far as I know, it holds the record for most existing combinations, with everything except itself and Fighting

I apparently wasn't clear. The order of the types has no effect on defenses, stats, or anything else. It only changes the order in which the types appear when the Pokémon is being viewed. Its only used to identify what someone is looking for when they want, say, a grass type. It just narrows down the options.

So Poochyena, for example, is just as fire-type as Heatran.

The first part of that sentence may seem redundant at first, but further thought reveals it as the best way to phrase that particular statement. In the second sentence, the word vacuously seems not to be doing anything, though it is otherwise perfectly true.

Is it me, or does Reshiram look like Arceus' head, Lugia's wings, Dialga's back-spike things, and a more-or-less random tail?

A few things I would like to say:

There is no difference in the order of the types. I'm almost positive Bulbapedia does that to simply make it easier to read.

Most of the combos you listed not to list are already present, just with flying as the secondary type. In fact, it has been paired with everything except fighting.

Dark/Steel

But that isn't random.  My way, each one has an equal chance.  In theory. Depending on whether or not the air conditioning turns on while I'm changing the pictures.

Besides, most of them are pretty ugly anyway...

So you confess to deliberately wanting to stab a picture of three starter Pokemon?

*gasp* How dare you suggest that? I'm not a barbarian. I stab them individually.

I can have been working on races, so I can help there.

And I'm not entirely sure what storytelling is in this context, but to me it sounds like making the back story, which I can work on.

And I'm assuming Zelda Wiki and SM Wiki don't mind if I "borrow" a few pictures for the races?

Without crests, let's say 1 for now.

Personally, I would like to do this D&D style. Specifically, each player is given a certain number of points(let's say 30 for now) which they can divide up among their points how ever they want, but no particular stat can exceed six before the modifiers are added.  After they decide, the modifiers are added.  The race modifiers them selves should not be higher than 4 or lower than -4, and they should add up to about 1. After modifiers are added, any articular stat can be(at most) 10 or (at least) -3.

Also, crests seem to be more for affecting stats upon level up, while the modifiers are for stats on a character's creation.

And, go ahead, add those numbers to the Goron page. I'll go work on the modifiers for the other races.

Not necessarily, but I did for now because I didn't trust myself to come up with truly random numbers.  We'll probably end up giving players a certain number of points to distribute however they want, as long as it is between one and six before the modifiers a applied.

I work best with abstract concepts, and not so good at actual game workings. However, I would like to recommend a semi-random distribution for each character, with modifiers applying for race.

For example, Gorons are naturally tough, so they would have high LP and SP.  On the other hand, Fairies should have high Evade and Sage points.

For another example, here is a rough template for Gorons I made:

LP:+3
At.:+1
Eva:-1
In.:+0
SP:+0
En.:+2
SaP:-4

So a Goron character who rolled:

L.P.:3
At.:4
Eva:5
In.:1
SP:4
En.:4
SaP:2

Would actually get for their starting stats:

L.P.:6
At.:5
Eva:4
In.:1
SP:4
En.:6
SaP:-2

Of course, those numbers are just examples, and we can change them based on logic later. As toward increasing, let's just give the character 3 to 5 points to distribute however they want when they level up.
