Pokémon / Pokéwalker question

on Serebii it says I unlock the Hoenn field when I get 5000 watts I have more then that yet I haven't gotten it, do I need to beat the game first?

let's play a game
Rules
1.) No questions involving opinion.
2.) If you answer a question, you must ask a question, and vice versa.
3.) Questions can only be answered once, even if the first answer was incorrect. The only person who can correct the answer is the person who asked the question. An asker correcting an incorrect answer is the only exception to Rule 2.
4.) Questions have to involve cannon Pokémon series, (games, anime, etc)
e.g. no questions about internet jokes.
This Pokémon superb memory lets it recall everything it has experienced from birth. Its IQ exceeds 5,000.

Sin and Punishment: Star Successor came out the other day I just picked it up and it's great so far, I like the Zapper controls (other controllers are available) any one else picking this up or play the first on the VC?
