What're your thoughts on it? Incredibly stupid, yes, and horrible compared to the games made by Nintendo... but I can't help but wish they had a few references to the terribleness of the unholy Triforce...

lmfao wtf

I've never actually played or seen these games (I tend to ignore Youtube memes) so I reserve all judgement until further notice. Not that I have any plans to ever play them or anything.

Dunno why but this response made me laugh harder than the actual image.

And come on guys, Wand of Gamelon was incredible. There was a magic carpet. Link pulled off some f***ing Aladdin s*** right there.

Those games were some funny (not to mention horrible) attempts at a game.

Like most people, I only know the cutscenes of these games, and I think they are hilarious (yet uncanny and scary) in their very own way. We should thank the creators, for they have brought us Youtube Poops and other non-sensical but funny things.

Can't say anything about the gameplay of those games, though, although the concepts of the final battles in the first two games sound kinda stupid.
"Will you stop?!!? What fools!
Haven't you begun to understand? The kingdom being ruined and us left in this state...
Isn't it petty, little battles like this that have caused it?
Believing in your friends and embracing that belief by forgiving failure...
These feelings have vanished from our hearts."

I don't know what they were smoking when they designed Ganon, but he looked pretty ridiculous in those games.

It's not much of a downgrade from a giant blue pig if you think about it.

I liked the giant blue pig, man.

Well then, consider it an upgrade.

If they were smoking something (you know it's true), it obviously affected how they viewed motion, look at the horrible animation.

Russian Animation is rather alien to begin it with and the Zeldas were the first time the animators had to use computer. Animation Magic's later works are a smidge better.

The actual games looks pretty terrible (and not just because of the animation) but the music is actually pretty good and the hand-painted backgrounds are beautiful. For what it's worth, Hardcore Gaming 101 defend the series here.

Animation Magic later did Mutant Rampage:Body Slam  (also on the CD-I) and  I.M Meen (DOS). I.M Meen is a terrible Doom Clone with half-assed attempts at making it educational but Mutant Rampage actually looks kind of decent. They were also working on a Warcraft game (Lord of the Thrones or something) but that was cancelled.

The music and background art were some of the virtues of the games, but the cutscenes were still a joke.

These games are so terrible that they're practically unplayable. Not kidding. The controls are HORRID. I've played them.
