:It isn't you who has been banned. I'm getting that as well. It appears to be similar to a problem that happened here before: one user and the corresponding IP were banned, but a server problem which seems to log all visiting IPs as the same one resulted in everyone being banned. It's been fixed on the wiki, but I don't know if it's as easily fixed on a forum. The solution, for now, seems to be "Don't IP-ban on the forums". Top Secret Missions

If you have been sent here by a link i (or someone i know) sent you here, then thank you for taking interest in my top secret projects. And here they are:

  1. On WikiBound, we have begun working on inter-wiki links that can be placed on the sidebar, similar to inter-language links, based on some code i got from WikiMedia . in order for this to work, we need people who would be willing to help with the following:
    • Implement the related CSS and Javascript with permission of that wiki, by an admin there and/or an interested participant in this mission. If the wiki wishes to customize it, work with them to preserve the idea but at the same time, allow it to fit into the wiki's
    • Develop inter-wiki templates for each wiki to each wiki, customized to that wiki's inter-wiki codes.
    • Swap links for inter-wiki content. For example, zw:Characters_in_Super_Smash_Bros._(Series)#Ness is the Ness link on ZeldaWiki, and i think that link should appear on the Ness page on Smash Wiki, SMW, etc. Any wiki's that don't include Ness (like BP) wouldn't be forced to create one just to accommodate. (This task is being headed by Turtwig A)
  2. Help out Sonic the Wiki become a more viable wiki, and possibly an some-what important resource for NIWA.
  3. seek out trusted editors from all niwa wiki's to help with the NWiki.

Bellow is the comments area in order to allow the above to be just the missions.

When will we try for NIWA membership? What requirements do we still have to meet? Ewan2012 18:59, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

  1. Well, for one thing, Yusie needs to comeback from her hiatus. if not, we need to select someone from the wiki to represent us to NIWA.
  2. Then we need to prove:
    • a devoted staff,
    • a somewhat active userbase
In addition, we need to reduce our stub percentage.
(pause)
Anyway, i will see what i can do to get us at least a review. Tacopill 19:25, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Taco!

Close your div tags! TTEchidna 05:39, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about that. *Note taken*. Tacopill 05:42, 20 November 2010 (UTC).

<_>

I'm not used to this insane coding.. what am I doing wrong? HavocReaper48 01:24, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

It's not a problem, you probably aren't familiar with template coding. Here are some pointers.
1. When using templates, you will have these things called "variables" and "values", and they look like this:
| varible1 = value1
| varible2 = value2
| varible3 = value3
Variables are always case sensitive, which means a capital letter and a lower case letter are treated differently. In addition, there will be no order to variables given; you could list them alphabetically, or make them random.
2. When a value is given, without a variable, that means the template is using numeric variables, and then there an order to the varibles. The first one is used for a specific purpose, which is different from the second, etc. For example: {{tt}} alows you to create title text you see when the mouse cursor hovers over it. {{tt|*|as of Nov 24, 2010}} gives you *
3. Part of the templates design it to automatically add the series logo to whatever you put in the "main" variable. It isn't needed there.
4. Be sure to remove any unused lines, that when removed, don't cause text looking like this: {{{some text}}}; to show up. This means there was a variable that was required to have something in it.
Anyway, if you have anymore questions, just feel free to ask. Tacopill 04:38, 25 November 2010 (UTC).
Yeah, uh, I kept trying but wasn't very lucky.. can you set an example? Thanks. HavocReaper48 17:33, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
It's not a problem. Check this out. Tacopill 20:01, 27 November 2010 (UTC).

Ok, uh, apparently the problem was I copied the outline but there was caps in the words? I fixed the "problem" but question, where would I find out total views and views per edit? HavocReaper48 23:53, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Sounds good. For those numbers, Check Special:Statistics, and if they aren't there, simply put in "n/a" in it's place. Tacopill 02:00, 2 December 2010 (UTC).

Hi!

Hi, my name is Kumatora and I am new here. Can you get back to me about what I can help with? Thanks!--Kumatora 21:33, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Kumatora

Sure. If you don't mind, may i ask what skills, interests and experienced do you have with Wiki's? It will help me narrow down stuff i can/should/would/etc. tell you. Thanks for joining! Tacopill (Talk) 07:06, 12 December 2010 (UTC).
Ok, I'm on The Super Mario Wiki, Wikibound, and The Animal Crossing Wiki. I would probablly be useful making pages on some of the games that are left to do or creating pages on characters. I know a lot about the Pokemon, Mario, Mother/Earthbound, Animal Crossing, and I know some about Rareware's N64 games(I know some about other Nintendo series though not as much). Also if I do get making pages on characters could some one else make a template for it because I can put a template in but I'm not sure if I could create one. Thanks!
Cool. You are free to create a template, but do you know who to? if yes, but would like someone to look it over, then place it on a page called your "sandbox", for example: User:Kumatora/Sandbox. Anyway, there are plenty of missing games out their just itching to pages on, like Mother and Super Mario. If you are looking for something specific, may i recommend helping out the Games by Rare(ware) page, along with creating related game articles. While i am at it, i also recommend checking out This page for help. Tacopill (Talk) 08:33, 13 December 2010 (UTC).
I don't know how to make a template. On all of the wikis that I'm on, they already had templates made.--Kumatora
Sweet. there are plenty of templates to be made here. Navigation templates, linking templates, etc. If you need help learning how to do templates, contact me off wiki and i can teach you how to do so. Tacopill (Talk) 06:15, 14 December 2010 (UTC).
I am frequently on the Super Mario Wiki chat so you can contact me there.--Kumatora
Man, I hate IRC..... I'll try it out. When is a good time? Tacopill (Talk) 05:51, 16 December 2010 (UTC).
I would have responded earlier but my IP was blocked from editing because I tried to leave this message earlier. The message at the top said that I was forbidden from editing because another user used my IP. I am fine almost any day 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Eastern). Also I can create the pages and add the templates in later. --Kumatora
Yea, Ax sort of everyone! Anyway, it's been fixed. As for the IRC, i will try my best to get on it. And sounds good on the pages/templates. Tacopill (Talk) 04:40, 19 December 2010 (UTC).

Re: Licensing template

In case you never upload images here, I'll give example: here, I just didn't see that small box behind the very large (no joke) box. SWFlash

Ok, I've made the edit tools box collapsible, hopefully that will improve the visibility of the license drop-box. What do you think?. Tacopill (Talk) 21:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC).

Sorry

I have a bad person at the start, but I am starting fresh again and excepting this wikis rules. I apologize for flaming... Oh and can i change around the articles sections with names like Characters and reconstruct the articles? Slipknot Darkrai 10:35, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

It's not a problem. I appreciate the apology, the starting over and the contributions you've made since then.
Keep in mind, when it comes to characters and the like, we think it would be better to send them to a related wiki, if one exists, or to a list of other characters in the series. For example, see List of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
To propose a new structures of articles, i recommend a few things:
  1. Draft what you think it should look like in your own sandbox, and When you are done, show to myself or RAP (Talk).
  2. Discuss ideas here, or on a subsection's discussion page, like: Patents, 1st- and 2nd-party games, etc.
Finally, Welcome aboard to Nintendo Wiki. Tacopill (Talk) 22:55, 23 December 2010 (UTC).
