Kirby's Epic Yarn is a 2D platforming game in the Kirby series. It was also the first Kirby game released on a home console for 7 years, with the last being Kirby Air Ride, and the first console platforming Kirby game since Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. However, the game does not have several of the traditional gameplay mechanics of previous Kirby games.
The game was initially developed as an original IP with the main character "Fluff", but was reworked into a Kirby game at Nintendo's request when the developers found that the game wasn't that fun.[1]

Story
