note: I haven't read the comics, so I am not claiming to be an expert. Just merely a curious person, who enjoy watching Comic-based adaptions, reading wikis on the franchises, etc.
In the DC Universe, there exists 7 energies that are generated by the emotions of all sentient life forms. These emotions provide fuel that chosen individuals can wield through power rings and stored in power batteries, often shaped as lanterns.
