It only contains the first 4 Marios + CD + Book, right? I think I'll pass, I already have them in SNES catridge and Virtual Console.

you have the CD and book on Virtual Console?  ???

Lol, no, the games! and the music is so easy to find in youtube that it's not worth it. The book might already be in torrent, I don't want to search but knowing the internet...

eh, i prefer to use legal means when i am able....

Not my point, I was saying that the extra content is worth a look over, like borrowing it and then give it back. If at least they had added levels, or better graphics, something IN the games, but seeing as it's a re-release of a re-release. Great opportunity for new players though!

Also: Check out this post

I agree with most of that post. Not that my opinion means a whole lot here, but I don't know that I would have ever considered Mega Man a Nintendo franchise.  In my eyes, it's always been Capcom's franchise.

Just because a series has always been published on Nintendo systems doesn't make it a Nintendo series, from my perspective.  Most video game publishers don't make their own systems.

Under that logic not even Ace Attorney should be considered to be part. It all boils down to what the goals and focus of NIWA is, will they consider only first and second party game? Third party games that only appear in Nintendo Consoles? Third party games that are part of bigger franchises in more than one console?

Either way I still like the idea of NIWA and support it, I just would like to know how to help other than editing around the Wikis.

Nintendo funding fan projects? Fat chance, from any developer in fact. It's discouraging that each and every fan effort is meat with a C&D letter from the companies. A shame, really, I have seen so many good things around the net, specially lately.

i didn't say fund it, i said "look the other way". As in, don't acknowdlge it's there, don't interfere with it being run, etc.

That can't be possible either. Nintendo is a business and they can't afford competence specially both free and that uses their own ideas (characters, music, sprites, etc...) against themselves.

See it this way, McDonald's competitor is not only Burger King, it's whoever sells food. In that way, Nintendo's copetitor is every other activity that takes the time that people use to play their games (legally anyway).

So no "looking the other way" is going to happen, it's even more plausible that they might warm heart to a proyect than letting them run wild.

EarthBound / Mother / Re: Favorite enemy

Anything you find in the acid trip known as Moonside.

In fact, all EarthBound is an acid trip, just with different substances with varying degrees of brain damage. (Get it on the VC already Nintendo!)

Mother 4? Wow, if it happens Itoi won't be involved and the tone might not be the same.

Hahahahahaha.

VC releases and Mother?

I can't help but laugh.

And cry. At the same time.

Yep, the VC looked like a great opportunity to bring Japan only games like Mother 0 to the US, so sad.

*tear* ); I've resorted to emulators for all three... Wah...

Seems appropriate :P

Ghost/Grass, that's new. In fact I would propose a new evolution of Tangrowth with this type.

Least favorite, not because it's bad but because it's so darn difficult, Super Mario Bros. 2 (Lost Levels)

I loved how every Djinn looks different now, I can't find a good picture but some of the designs rock.

I'm also about to finish the first two for the second time to remember the story, I hope it connects well with the new game.

Gonintendo for news, thatguywiththeglasses (well, blistered thumbs now) for reviews, pokebeach and lots of webcomics is what my favorite folder is full of.

Also some links about topics of my career, but I'm ashamed of those.  ;D

Scott Pilgrim and the one movie with the giant bear daruma thing... Could someone please remind me the name?  :P

Scott Pilgrim is the closest thing we'll have to a good videogame movie, and it's based on a comic. Why can't hollywood do better adaptations?

I declare myself a Big Bang Theory fan. It's the new Friends with science. And Kaley Cuoco.

I also watch Chuck, but I'm afraid that one is going out after this season, too bad.

Super Smash Bros / Re: Which is your favorite SSB game?
November 26, 2010, 07:27:28 PM
Depends, I really like the 3, however I see them in different lights:

The first one was more fun becuse the engine wasn't that serious and it introduces us into franchises that we didn't knew were part of Nintendo.
The second one is the best in terms of memorabilia but in play it was too glitchy (specially with the tournament people, wave-dashing shouldn't be permited!)
The third one is the best in gameplay, I liked how they made it more complex yet more like the first one. However my biggest bone to pic is that the part of memorabilia was aweful, most of the trophies were more advertisement for new or upcoming games rather than a good trip through the past. Not saying it's a bad thing, just that more balance between those two would be appreciated.

Answer to this thread in Easy Mode: Anything that has "Nintendo" as developer or publisher!

Lol, but seriously, I don't have so much disposable income to buy every game I want but at least I now that no matter what game I buy they never let me down.

Not really... encyclopedias show what exists, not what you are missing because someone hasn't invented it yet.

Ice/Steel would be interesting to see, also a Electric/Poison with an attack that 20% poisons or paralyze.

In fact, forget about type combinations, I want more crazy moves with unexpected outcomes, those are the best addition to every Gen.
