NIWA Discussion / Re: Calendar
July 25, 2010, 08:19:55 AM
It's still there, ha.  BUT, seeing as how there are bigger issues to deal with, and the fact that no one clicks the calendar... it hardly matters right now.

Bumped for future references and so it gets done eventually.

Hello everyone. Over at the Super Mario Wiki there was this discussion about replacing the logo. I was thinking about your opinions on the new logo.

I like that new logo, it isn't a boring sqaure with pictures of mario characters on it.

Today I fired a B.O.B laser gun and sucked the life out of a mole and King of Jinjos.  My sisters said it would take hours to recharge, but that stupid bear and bird got to my castle several weeks later and defeated me despite this. FML.  [Yay for in game time?]

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Nintendo Movies

As much as a live action Kirby movie would fail, I would go see it anyways.  If fans can make a live action Zelda, why can't Nintendo?  Though, I suppose it is overdone.

Somewhere I heard that "NIWA standards" is an iffy subject.  If there won't be any, or something, the board can probably be made public now....

Frankly, I don't think anyone will use either... atleast not until the forums have a lot of active members.  ...And even then, I kind of doubt it.

Today I was in the Clanker Wars level and grabbed myself four ninja stars.  After combining them in a pot, I ended up with a single boomerang.  FML.

Sorry about my current activity... I should be active again when my vacation is over.  [2-3 weeks]

Ah, that solves another one of my questions. Thanks.

Nah, put your cash back, I'll wait for Tucayo to get his money out because he has infinite amounts of cash.   :)

Call me back when I'm 150... Tucayo might of done it by that time.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll pull some cash out of my bank. :3

Everytime you try to steal, your karma goes down.  If it goes down too much [like mine, for example] you can only steal 0 niwas maximum.  You can buy them back, but it requires money.

Probably not, I suspect "dwindling returns" for most future Nintendo Wikis. The biggest are in, except one more that will be added soon. For the most part, from here on out, I think we'll be looking at dedicated backing of each wiki from its fan community as a factor. Some of the others have a lot of potential, Star Fox, Earthbound, Animal Crossing, and Smash Bros for example. They have fragmented communities and the only existing wikis are on wiki farms. If some effort to unite the fan base under a single independent wiki can be achieved, I suspect they'll make great NIWA member sites.

The main obstacle, I think, is that people will have a hard time letting go of the work they did on a wiki farm-even if it means missing out on what may someday be the better known site. I think the passions for the independent wikis are so high because people can visit them and actually feel the creator's own love for the series. To me, the Neoseeker, wikispaces, etc sites feel more impersonal and disconnected than they actually are-but the few people that work on them should be approached delicately if creating a "rival" wiki. I say rival for a lack of a better term, we don't really compete head to head like sports teams or offline businesses do.

Do you think it's possible to ask a wiki, like the SmashWiki, to become independent? I'm not sure if it's possible, but I would think you could buy an address, and move the pages from one to the other. If this sounds crazy, then nevermind. XD lol.

I think SmashWiki is planning on switching off of Wikia, but time will tell.

Hey, nobody did anything wrong. I stole from Tucayo with the "Steal" item. Therefore, I received my cash through legitimate means. I can do what I please with it, so I gave some to Austin.
Ok, sorry, I thought that money had come from somewhere else. I now deleted all my niwas so I can't be stolen

Delete?

Kinda off topic. Austin, how did you get almost 100k in the bank?

THE LESS YOU KNOW... THE BETTER.

That explains why I have the trampoline 23 times.

But your member id is 8....
And so is trampoline's ID. I get it like 2/3 of the time

There is no card number beyond 35 thus far.  So everytime I get an "old card", it doesn't exsist.

[I don't get your math.]
Ok, even tho I bet 10,000 niwas, which gives me a 100% chance of getting a new card, I still get trampoline

I didn't have a problem, even with 'Card #36'.  I completed my collection, I don't know why you can't.  Maybe it's because card 36 doesn't exsist, so a certain card that does... doesn't keep popping up.

Lord Ferrok keeps getting a card with the number 145.
I keep getting a number with 36.

145 is Lord Ferrok's member id, as mine is 36.

That should [hopefully] help you.  I feel acomplished.
