Mario and friends showing up in Kirby vs. Dedede battle.
Also, a whole lot of Great Cave Offensive treasures are references, many from previous Nintendo games.

More props to that song, It's also being played on the spaceshuttle that's drifting out with the intention of aliens finding it. If they ever do, Louisiana will be the only state they know  :eekdance:

Pit, Palutena, Donkey Kong, Mario, Samus, and Link appear in one of the endings for Tetris on NES.

Octoman from F-Zero shows up in Star Fox Command, and one character from F-zero is named James Mccloud and has the same outfit
