BS The Legend of Zelda was a The Legend of Zelda series SoundLink game for the Japan-only Satellaview service on Super Famicom. It was hosted by St. GIGA.

Gameplay

The game is based on the original The Legend of Zelda, but with the Satellaview avatar as the main character instead of Link, a smaller overworld, and a time system in which the player (via power-ups)/enemies can become stronger depending on the hours of the day.

It was succeeded by BS Zelda no Densetsu: Inishie no Sekiban, a game set following the events of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Blurb

Story

Like always on the Satellaview the player begins at BS-X: Sore wa Namae o Nusumareta Machi no Monogatari. The player should go to the downloading place, and then download BS Zelda no Densetsu Part 1. When the game starts, the player can play The Legend of Zelda as their avatar.

Gameplay

The Map 1 (released in August 1995) dungeons all spell out St.GIGA with a skeleton head and an arrow. The Map 2 dungeons all spell out Nintendo.
