Inazuma Eleven is the first game in the Inazuma Eleven series of games, released for the Nintendo DS. It was first released in Japan in 2008, but was localised for a European release in 2011 to coincide with the dubbing of the Inazuma Eleven anime series.

Story

Mark Evans is a keen goalkeeper for his school's association football team, which is revealed to be in danger of being closed down. Mark must build a strong football team and win the Football Frontier tournament, while learning special moves along the way.

Gameplay

Mark and three friends can explore the overworld, being controlled by the Nintendo DS D-Pad or Touch Screen, chatting with other characters. In football matches, the player can command any player to run to any specific location, and can make them attempt to score goals by tapping the goal when within a certain distance, and choosing the type and strength of the shot.
