Template:Service Infobox Nintendo Direct is an online video service provided by Nintendo, with the purpose of providing information on new and upcoming games or features in games being developed for Nintendo platforms, billed as "A new online home for exclusive Nintendo news-broadcast directly to you, the player." It provides a video service similar to the Nintendo Channel for the Wii. Nintendo Directs were primarily hosted by Satoru Iwata before his passing, though depending on region they have also been hosted by Reggie Fils-Aimé in North America and Satoru Shibata in Europe.

In 2013, Nintendo would forgo the traditional E3 press conference in favor of a Nintendo Direct. The following year, the format was adapted into the Nintendo Digital Event.

After the death of fourth president Satoru Iwata in July 2015, it was uncertain whether Nintendo Direct broadcasts would continue, as there was not a presentation in the months after his passing. However, Nintendo would release a statement in September assuring that the Nintendo Direct format would not be discontinued[1], with a new Nintendo Direct broadcast being announced for November 12 some time afterward.
