Super Smash Bros / Re: Characters in Next SSB
« on: August 06, 2011, 09:17:56 PM »
I'm sorry to be a nub for saying this, but I'd like to see Goku. :P
Nub,  Just joking, although I only liked Dragonball GT, it actually had a plot, unlike the other series[/quote].

Maybe in a vs. Capcom game would Goku fit in...
not SSBB,

Captain Falcon would make a nice Nintendo exclusive character, for a vs. Capcom game, as would Link, and any Fire emblem character, even Roy...

it's nice of Capcom to let the guest star take first mention, but also better marketing, so I guess it's mutual, and a run on sentence is one where...

I don't think Mickey has a chance, it has to be a videogame that's not based on a movie or cartoon, as Sakurai stated on the Brawl homepage: the fighter/character must have origininated in a Videogame.
This does exclude promotional materials though, so if there was a sneek preveiw of the animated series just before a games release date, and they made more games, then the character would qualify if it was on at least one Nintendo system.

Starfy, I've never played the game, but they need more of their own characters,  They also need more 3rd party characters, because they're running out of good 1st party characters,  Chun Li, Spyro, Crash, Pacman, and Giest from Gamecube

I think Mickey Mouse has a chance of appearing in SSB4. Nintendo published the Japanese version of Epic Mickey apparently.

Mario / Mario & Sonic at 2012 London
« on: July 31, 2011, 08:26:03 PM »
Let's talk about the newest addition to Mario & Sonic, Should there be two Story Modes, one for each team?  Should Miis be allowed to wear purchasable, unusual hair dyes?  Should Eggman & Bowser Fight to see who can steal the Crown Jewels first?  Should 3DS Miis be transferable to the games file, (Up to 20 extra Miis to play as)  Should the disk be dual layer, like SSBB?  I'm terrible at starting conversations, somebody start one for me to join...

Nintendo Gaming / Re: 3DS Price Drops To $169 AUG, 12th
« on: July 31, 2011, 07:15:30 PM »
The equivalent price here seems to be a little over £100 ATM, so yes, once there are more games I want out.  Of course, there's no indication there'll be a price drop here...
Nintendo said they would lower the wholesale prices of the 3DS by about 1/3 in Europe, but said they don't set suggested retail prices in Europe.
If Nintendo suggests a retail price, here American stores start competing with Nintendo of America's online prices.

Nintendo Gaming / 3DS Price Drops To $169 AUG, 12th

I read on the Wii news Channel (scroll to Tokyo on the globe today!) nintendo is reducing the price of the 3DS to $169.99 on August 12, 2011; this is big! I'm calling all my (few) friends now!

I thought of a funny idea, what if the next game in the series starts out with...

...Dr. Cortex finally realizing he never escaped Crash's mind!
Then, inspired by Crash's subconscious, & warped view of reality,  Cortex manages to hijack Crash Bandicoot, and use Crash's body to complete his own master plan of releasing himself into the real world, and an imaginary super-weapon of unbelievable strength at the same time.
Along the way, Cortex gets furious with his minions that won't believe he's Cortex, even though Crash speaks fluently, even though it's in an old school Crash-esque voice.

I had 2 hilarious ideas for the end of the game, both are similar though.

Should SSB64 5:00 demo be in SSB-U/3D?

With Multiplayer mode intact of course...

Crash would make a decent fighter, if they redesign him to look a bit like his appearance in earlier games for GBA GCN and Playstation.
Except more fur texture and a fuzzy, messy, mohawk

Comcast Should release an app for their 3D on-demand, it could also turn a 3DS into a video phone! (laughs, then seriously considers the notion)

If Crash Bandicoot is a character, Wrath of Cortex would be the only logical choice, they should have two save files that made it to the first & second boss levels.
Sonic the hedgehog 2
MGS twin Snakes for Solid Snake,
SM64
Street Fighter 2 for Chun Li

I'm hoping 3rd parties will be kept to a minimum, so they can added more 1st and 2nd party characters.

Agreed. Sonic I could understand, but Snake felt out of place.

Not really, I mean Snake has fought Bionic superwepons, Psycic & Superpowered Mutants, It's a thin line between Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 and the Modern Metroid.  The only difference is one uses realistic weapons, and the other takes place in the future, where bullets are almost obsolete because you'd have to reload, and some plasma cannons are self recharging.  Both have creepy levels & backgrounds. also, remember Twilight Princess?  Creepy...  ...but it was more of a dark fairy tale, so...

Crash Twinsanity would work as GCN Virtual Console though, because it was originally planned to be released on Gamecube, and it would be the first title I download.

Update: I think Comcast could do the same with their on demand, like that iPad app they released that allows you to watch your on demand Movies durring your bathroom breaks.

why would there be PS1/2 games on Nintendo's virtual console
Because Sony doesn't own a single Playstation One game, and only made a few eyetoy games, plus Jak/Daxter, and Ratchet/Clank for PS2, and I couldn't tell the difference between the two games when I first played the demos.

Mario / Mario Kart: U Behind the Wheel

They could have 5 races each, and 5 cups in both Retro GP & Universal Grand Prix for a total of 50 racetracks!
The disk would hold that much...
Plus the addition of customising Mii outfits with parts bought from coins earned from winning Grand Prix, and Mission Mode.
(more noticeable on Rocketskates and Battle mode don't y'think?)
Connecting to 3DS to share Characters and courses would be great!
...and a new Mario Kart Channel can allow Mario Kart Wii to play more Tracks, connect to 3DS, use 3DS style Wii-U Miis, and use the Wii U controller.

39
Donkey Konga 3D, I made this thread before the 3DS was announced, connectable to a Wii-U disk or download prehaps?
Controls: Left/Y/L (Left); Right/A/B/R (Right); TouchScreen (Both); Snap Fingers (Snap/Clap)

I've been thinking the price for the Wii-U could be lowered if they don't include GCN Controller & possibly Memory Card slots, and just allow the Wii-U controler to do the work of the GCN controller.
Of course I'm getting ahead of myself...

Gamecube VC is now possible, with 8GB system memory & the abillity to store VC data on SD cards...

Crash Twinsanity, Kingdom Hearts, & MGS 1+2 anyone?

...Gamecube disks hold up to 1.4 GB, and not all games use the maximum capacity you know; Dreamcast games hold 1.2 Gigabites.

Playstation One games hold even less...
...with only a few exceptions I guess. (MGS)

I thought a great name for Playstation Virtual console would be PlusOne games, to avoid lawsuit with Sony, it could also contain other 3rd party games of simmilar size, including a few slightly altered DS titles, 3DS Demos, and Jp N64 DD games.
