The Super Game Boy 2 (Japanese: スーパーゲームボーイ2) is the Japanese only successor to the Super Game Boy.

The Super Game Boy 2 was released in 1998 and featured various new features including:

  • Multiplayer link port
  • Power LED indicators (green/red)
  • Speed adjustments to be more accurate to a Game Boy
  • Eight new built-in borders (note: for games with built-in borders the player may not be able to change the border)
  • Game specific features only for Super Game Boy 2 (e.g. new Tetris DX border)
