Top Secret Missions

If you have been sent here by a link i (or someone i know) sent you here, then thank you for taking interest in my top secret projects. And here they are:

  1. On WikiBound, we have begun working on inter-wiki links that can be placed on the sidebar, similar to inter-language links, based on some code i got from WikiMedia . in order for this to work, we need people who would be willing to help with the following:
    • Implement the related CSS and Javascript with permission of that wiki, by an admin there and/or an interested participant in this mission. If the wiki wishes to customize it, work with them to preserve the idea but at the same time, allow it to fit into the wiki's
    • Develop inter-wiki templates for each wiki to each wiki, customized to that wiki's inter-wiki codes.
    • Swap links for inter-wiki content. For example, zeldawiki:Characters_in_Super_Smash_Bros._(Series)#Ness is the Ness link on ZeldaWiki, and i think that link should appear on the Ness page on Smash Wiki, SMW, etc. Any wiki's that don't include Ness (like BP) wouldn't be forced to create one just to accommodate. (This task is being headed by Turtwig A)
  2. Help out Sonic the Wiki become a more viable wiki, and possibly an some-what important resource for NIWA.
  3. seek out trusted editors from all niwa wiki's to help with the NWiki.

Bellow is the comments area in order to allow the above to be just the missions.

When will we try for NIWA membership? What requirements do we still have to meet? Ewan2012 18:59, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

  1. Well, for one thing, Yusie needs to comeback from her hiatus. if not, we need to select someone from the wiki to represent us to NIWA.
  2. Then we need to prove:
    • a devoted staff,
    • a somewhat active userbase
In addition, we need to reduce our stub percentage.
(pause)
Anyway, i will see what i can do to get us at least a review. Tacopill 19:25, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Taco!

Close your div tags! TTEchidna 05:39, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about that. *Note taken*. Tacopill 05:42, 20 November 2010 (UTC).

<_>

I'm not used to this insane coding.. what am I doing wrong? HavocReaper48 01:24, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

It's not a problem, you probably aren't familiar with template coding. Here are some pointers.
1. When using templates, you will have these things called "variables" and "values", and they look like this:
| varible1 = value1
| varible2 = value2
| varible3 = value3
Variables are always case sensitive, which means a capital letter and a lower case letter are treated differently. In addition, there will be no order to variables given; you could list them alphabetically, or make them random.
2. When a value is given, without a variable, that means the template is using numeric variables, and then there an order to the varibles. The first one is used for a specific purpose, which is different from the second, etc. For example: {{tt}} alows you to create title text you see when the mouse cursor hovers over it. {{tt|*|as of Nov 24, 2010}} gives you *
3. Part of the templates design it to automatically add the series logo to whatever you put in the "main" variable. It isn't needed there.
4. Be sure to remove any unused lines, that when removed, don't cause text looking like this: {{{some text}}}; to show up. This means there was a variable that was required to have something in it.
Anyway, if you have anymore questions, just feel free to ask. Tacopill 04:38, 25 November 2010 (UTC).
Yeah, uh, I kept trying but wasn't very lucky.. can you set an example? Thanks. HavocReaper48 17:33, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
It's not a problem. Check this out. Tacopill 20:01, 27 November 2010 (UTC).

Ok, uh, apparently the problem was I copied the outline but there was caps in the words? I fixed the "problem" but question, where would I find out total views and views per edit? HavocReaper48 23:53, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Sounds good. For those numbers, Check Special:Statistics, and if they aren't there, simply put in "N/A" in it's place. Tacopill 02:00, 2 December 2010 (UTC).

Hi!

Hi, my name is Kumatora and I am new here. Can you get back to me about what I can help with? Thanks!--Kumatora 21:33, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Kumatora

Sure. If you don't mind, may i ask what skills, interests and experienced do you have with Wiki's? It will help me narrow down stuff i can/should/would/etc. tell you. Thanks for joining! Tacopill (Talk) 07:06, 12 December 2010 (UTC).
Ok, I'm on The Super Mario Wiki, Wikibound, and The Animal Crossing Wiki. I would probablly be useful making pages on some of the games that are left to do or creating pages on characters. I know a lot about the Pokémon, Mario, Mother/Earthbound, Animal Crossing, and I know some about Rareware's N64 games(I know some about other Nintendo series though not as much). Also if I do get making pages on characters could some one else make a template for it because I can put a template in but I'm not sure if I could create one. Thanks!
Cool. You are free to create a template, but do you know who to? if yes, but would like someone to look it over, then place it on a page called your "sandbox", for example: User:Kumatora/Sandbox. Anyway, there are plenty of missing games out their just itching to pages on, like Mother and Super Mario. If you are looking for something specific, may i recommend helping out the Games by Rare(ware) page, along with creating related game articles. While i am at it, i also recommend checking out {{nw|Article_structure#Games|This page]] for help. Tacopill (Talk) 08:33, 13 December 2010 (UTC).
I don't know how to make a template. On all of the wikis that I'm on, they already had templates made.--Kumatora
Sweet. there are plenty of templates to be made here. Navigation templates, linking templates, etc. If you need help learning how to do templates, contact me off wiki and i can teach you how to do so. Tacopill (Talk) 06:15, 14 December 2010 (UTC).
I am frequently on the Super Mario Wiki chat so you can contact me there.--Kumatora
Man, I hate IRC..... I'll try it out. When is a good time? Tacopill (Talk) 05:51, 16 December 2010 (UTC).
I would have responded earlier but my IP was blocked from editing because I tried to leave this message earlier. The message at the top said that I was forbidden from editing because another user used my IP. I am fine almost any day 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Eastern). Also I can create the pages and add the templates in later. --Kumatora
Yea, Ax sort of everyone! Anyway, it's been fixed. As for the IRC, i will try my best to get on it. And sounds good on the pages/templates. Tacopill (Talk) 04:40, 19 December 2010 (UTC).

Re: Licensing template

In case you never upload images here, I'll give example: here, I just didn't see that small box behind the very large (no joke) box. SWFlash

Ok, I've made the edit tools box collapsible, hopefully that will improve the visibility of the license drop-box. What do you think?. Tacopill (Talk) 21:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC).

Sorry

I have a bad person at the start, but I am starting fresh again and excepting this wikis rules. I apologize for flaming... Oh and can i change around the articles sections with names like Characters and reconstruct the articles? Slipknot Darkrai 10:35, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

It's not a problem. I appreciate the apology, the starting over and the contributions you've made since then.
Keep in mind, when it comes to characters and the like, we think it would be better to send them to a related wiki, if one exists, or to a list of other characters in the series. For example, see List of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
To propose a new structures of articles, i recommend a few things:
  1. Draft what you think it should look like in your own sandbox, and When you are done, show to myself or RAP (Talk).
  2. Discuss ideas here, or on a subsection's discussion page, like: Patents, 1st- and 2nd-party games, etc.
Finally, Welcome aboard to NintendoWiki. Tacopill (Talk) 22:55, 23 December 2010 (UTC).

Uh, problem

I'm apparently banned from the NIWA forums for "Inappropriate behavior". Can you bring it up on the forums? Volatile Dweevil

It isn't you who has been banned. I'm getting that as well. It appears to be similar to a problem that happened here before: one user and the corresponding IP were banned, but a server problem which seems to log all visiting IPs as the same one resulted in everyone being banned. It's been fixed on the wiki, but I don't know if it's as easily fixed on a forum. The solution, for now, seems to be "Don't IP-ban on the forums". Moydow 16:48, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Yea. Everyone got banned. But i think it is fixed. Tacopill (Talk) 00:43, 14 January 2011 (UTC).
Um... hi can I take a Pokémon template from Wikipedia from there to here? Is that ok? Thanks... Slipknot Darkrai
Depends.
  1. Which template?
  2. Does the linked template work with the Coverage policy?
Tacopill (Talk) 17:43, 20 February 2011 (UTC).

Oh and can I become a sysop plz? I am willing to help out here :D. Also did you create this wiki?Slipknot Darkrai

Ok, a few things.
  1. Please read our Coverage page. It helps determines what gets an article and what doesn't.
  2. For being a sysop, I do appreciate your contributions and enthusiasm. But before you do, i would like to see you improve your knowledge of templates, and other things wiki related.
  3. I didn't start the wiki, RAP (Talk) did.
  4. As for the template: While i like it, i am not sure it would be appropriate for the wiki.
Thank you for asking these questions, Tacopill (Talk) 00:01, 21 February 2011 (UTC).
You're welcome. Also look at how many templates I finshed. Now can I have sysop privileges or later? Slipknot Darkrai
I saw you work on the templates, and thank you for helping with them. But not yet on the sysop thing. Still, keep working hard and you may get there. Tacopill (Talk) 22:54, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Good news

Hey Tacopill, I have invited a lot of MarioWiki members here and it looks like it is going really well. A lot of them are interested in coming. Slipknot Darkrai
Sweet! Thank you very much! Tacopill (Talk) 22:14, 22 February 2011 (UTC).
You're welcome and am I close to becoming la sysop? :D. Also can you help introduce other NIWA members here and I got only two contributors here UltraMario3000 and YoshiGo99 ;, but that message was before that. Also there are other famous users that are thinking about it yes!!! Slipknot Darkrai
You are getting closer. However, the final decision isn't up to me. I can recommend yourself to him (once you pass all my tests, that is), but ultimately, the decision lies with RAP (Talk). Sweet on other users. Tacopill (Talk) 00:05, 23 February 2011 (UTC).
Thanks and can I copy content from other NIWA wikis like RAP did on first, second, and third pats of something? Slipknot Darkrai
I would rather no article content be copied. Files and Templates can be brought over, so long as 1) we source them and 2) they fit in the Coverage policy. So, for example: this template from bulbapedia can't come over because it is entirely inside-the-pokemon-universe. If a template is brought over, that doesn't fit in with the content policy, i will need to delete it. Tacopill (Talk) 00:43, 23 February 2011 (UTC).
Why ask RAP about the powers? HE isn't active much... Slipknot Darkrai
Becuase, RAP is the founder and director of the wiki. He is ultimately responsible for what the wiki covers, who gets admin powers, etc. And he is probably only going to say yes to you once he believes you have earned it. Tacopill (Talk) 01:13, 24 February 2011 (UTC).

Hi

I tagged some pages for deletion that some stupid spammer made. He attacks other NIWA wikis too. Slipknot Darkrai
Thank you very much, I will take care of deleting them. Tacopill (Talk) 00:42, 13 March 2011 (UTC).
Nevermind, RAP's taking care of it. Tacopill (Talk) 00:55, 13 March 2011 (UTC).

Mario Fanon Wiki

Can you please kindly promote me on your wiki (Mario Fanon Wiki)? I would like to take care of that idiotic spammer. Thanks Slipknot Darkrai
Oops Peanut64 is the bcrat. Sorry to waste your time. Slipknot Darkrai
Not a problem. Tacopill (Talk) 15:40, 20 March 2011 (UTC).

A couple of questions

Hi, just wondering what should we do about The Simpsons series logo as they don't have a real game logo, just the "The Simpsons" text. Should we use that or what?

Also, what exactly goes into the Technical Details section?

Thanks, Solar Dragon 18:04, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

  1. I think the text from the show would be good, as they use that in the games as well show.
  2. We are still working on it, but at the moment this page has the best details you can use to help fill in that information.
Feel free to ask anymore questions you have, Tacopill (Talk) 01:21, 30 March 2011 (UTC).
Do you have an example of the technical details section I could have a look at? Solar Dragon 05:26, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Sure. Check out this section for an example. Tacopill (Talk) 20:29, 7 April 2011 (UTC).

Edit Insert Menu

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to add the word "Poké" to the insert menu. Most words with the accented E have Poké in it anyway and I think it would be easier then typing going down in the middle of the word clicking the e the starting to type again. What do you think? Pokemaster97 23:20, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

I think it is a good idea. I will see what some other staff members of the wiki think about it. Tacopill (Talk) 23:47, 4 April 2011 (UTC).

Sure?

Are you sure I have to ask RAP about a promotion? You are a bureaucrat. BTW, I asked and he didn't reply so it is kinda up to you to see if you can promote me. So can you please do that now, if not some other time? Thank you. Other bureacrats can promote too y'know. Slipknot Darkrai
While i can do so, i shouldn't just because it was asked. It needs to be earned, and then here, it needs to be approved by RAP as he is the director of the Wiki. Sorry, but it is currently a "no".
Also, keep in mind, that on most wiki's i know of, one can't ask for admin ship; someone needs to be approached and it needs to be offered to them. I don't know if that is in effect here, but i figured it might be something you would want to be aware of.
Tacopill (Talk) 23:27, 28 April 2011 (UTC).

Edits

Like them? Slipknot Darkrai
Most of them, yes i do. Out of curiosity, are you watching all the pages that you edit? if so, then the one's don't like, i will change it to something else or bring it up on a talk page. If you see that i have changed something, or brought up something, please look into it. It might help you improve your editing.
Also, if there is anything i change of yours that you don't understand, please bring it up on a discussion page and i will do my best to explain it.
Anyway, thank you for your contributions to the wiki. They are strongly appreciated. Tacopill (Talk) 21:34, 8 May 2011 (UTC).

Wikisimpsons

Hi, could you update the links to Wikisimpsons to http://simpsonswiki.net/wiki/Main_Page please as we've moved. Thanks, Solar Dragon 19:13, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Sure. I can take care of it. And congratulations on becoming fully independent! Tacopill (Talk) 15:30, 19 June 2011 (UTC).

Sysophood

Hey Tacopill! You're a 'crat right? I've expanded and created categories, pages, and other things, so do you think I deserve to be a sysop? UltimatePetey

Thank you for helping expand those pages. But, it is not up to me who can or can't be a sysop. That is up to RAP (Talk), the director of the wiki. Sorry, to inform you of this. Tacopill (Talk) 03:50, 16 July 2011 (UTC).

HELP ME HELP THIS WIKI

is there any editig links to help me go above the basics i'm trying to make the colums on the side with like a picture and then some information underneath i wish i knew the name because i really want to learn howto make one also the spolie alerts at the top of the page i really want to learn that to and anything else a newbie should know because i have so much info on nintendo games that i really wanna help

warning poor grammer
The first thing I would recommend would to visit Help:Article, which covers the basics of editing a page. After which, see Contents and {{HelpNav}}

for more advanced and/or complicated help pages. If you need anymore help, don't hesitate to ask. Tacopill (Talk) 18:58, 12 September 2011 (UTC).

No problem!

Sorry for the late reply, but no problem! ^_^ I'm glad I'm able to contribute a bit on this wiki at all. Kagegamer12 22:15, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Woo! sounds good. If you need any help with anything, just ask. Tacopill (Talk) 02:19, 17 September 2011 (UTC).

Vector

Yery nice, your new skin :) Finally you've got the IWlinks in the sidebar... I'm very happy to see this :D

Nice color, too. It's very clear to read and follow. Greetings form Germany, Zelda talk 12:52, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Thank you very much. I think we can make it default now, as I just needed completely outsider's opinion and to have waited a while to make sure all the bugs were out. :D.Tacopill (Talk) 22:40, 30 December 2011 (UTC).

Marioluigi9

Every article he has created is written in a biased and unproffesional opinion such as Nester's Funky Bowling and most of the articles contain no quality info and are an embarrassment to this wiki. Shoey (Talk)

Ok, I will have a look at them. Tacopill (Talk) 14:56, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

NintendoWiki:Copyrights

NintendoWiki:Copyrights is a pretty essential page to have on this wiki, as it is linked to in the editspace, and obviously explains our copyright laws. I can't create the page myself, as only admins can edit the NintendoWiki: namespace, but here's a pastebin document containing what we could use for a Copyrights page: [1] ToastUltimatum 12:20, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

Response (To Thanks)

You are quite welcome. I'm always glad to help out fellow starfox fans :D RingtailedFox 02:58, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Help

Hey. I don't know if you're still on the Star Fox wiki, but can you help me with something? For some reason it won't let me start an account there because that Asirra captcha keeps saying I was "incorrect" even though I got it 'right' millions of times! Is there any way you can change this captcha to reCAPTCHA or fix it? I really want to help out that wiki, I mean, I got some cool pictures to show! Thanks. :) EDIT: Yeah, when I try to start an account, I get this: "Fatal error: Call to undefined method TitleBlacklist::singleton() in /home/starfoxw/public_html/w/extensions/TitleBlacklist/TitleBlacklist.hooks.php on line 85". What does that mean, like, can you help me make an account? I really want to help out! Thanks, and in regards... --Airconny 01:35, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

I will have a look at it this weekend. Thank you for inform me. Tacopill (Talk) 03:49, 15 November 2012 (UTC).
Thank you so much. Please tell me when it gets fixed. --Airconny 23:09, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Still looking into it. I have not forgotten. Tacopill (Talk) 03:19, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Okay, at first I thought you gave up. *sigh of relief* --Airconny 22:47, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Nope. Just extremely busy with Real Life Stuff. Tacopill (Talk) 23:58, 24 November 2012 (UTC).
Alright, all fixed! Tacopill (Talk) 01:14, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Many thanks, Taco! I really have been anticipating for this day!. --Airconny 16:55, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
You are welcome and sorry for taking so long. Tacopill (Talk) 01:46, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
It was worth the wait. :) --Airconny 02:12, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

What is it ?

Hi Tacopill. I haven't been active here for a long time, but from the few hours I've spent on this wiki I can't help ask what does this wiki cover ? Nintendo-related material or NIWA information ? No other NIWA wiki provides such extensive info about this, but NintendoWiki does. This isn't really a problem. What I find perplexing is how the mainpage is all about NIWA and not about Nintendo. The logos of each wiki are enormous and the news section has NOTHING to do with Nintendo. I'm actually surprised the featured article isn't to do about a wiki as well. Shouldn't all this info be in the NIWA Hub instead ? I just think this wiki has focused more on NIWA then on Nintendo. What are your views on this ? JORDAN DEBONO 06:38, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

It is complicated. This wiki is about both Nintendo and NIWA, and the main page is suppose to reflect that.
The NIWA info are pages for the wiki's to talk about themselves without needing to take up too much room on the hub site, nor needing to update it for every minor change.
The rest of the wiki needs to be expanded to include more Nintendo-related information, but there doesn't seem to be many people interested in the company or the staff or anything. We include the game articles, in part, to hopefully attract people to edit other articles along the way.
Just my two cents. Tacopill (Talk) 03:19, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I just think NIWA shouldn't be a focus here at all. All this info about it should be at the Hub instead. Taking up too much room in the hub is something which doesn't really make sense for me. Then what is the hub for ? Just a load of external links to all the NIWA wikis. We've got this here wiki to do that. The only thing I can now say is that NintendoWiki doesn't feel like it's all about Nintendo. Just some makeshift website to talk about NIWA. I know it's not up to you to decide, but I think I might bring this up in the NIWA forums.
If the game articles are there to just attract people, then it shouldn't be. We've got all those other wikis for that, why would anyone want to write about them here. I'm not saying we shouldn't have them... not at all. But if that is a strategy for getting people to come edit, then it must be rethought.
p.s. Shouldn't the news be focused on JUST Nintendo at least. I'll be more than happy to update it regularly... JORDAN DEBONO 17:00, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
For now, just focus on the Nintendo-related stuff, as that is what we need help on. The other franchises, content can be worked on from people who are in those wikis. Tacopill (Talk) 01:24, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

ICON

Hi, I've found a little mistake in the "Interlanguage Partners"-box on the main page. The link nintendowiki.de doesn't exist. So please correct it (I haven't tried it but I think, it's protected). And we've got a new logo: [2]. Thanks and greetings! Zelda D 13:59, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

It is relevant, but I was wondering if you are an administrator at the german NintendoWiki. Tacopill (Talk) 23:58, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

The doc thing

I see you're the only active admin, and so please let me ask you this: Are /doc templates worth of being kept, instead of a normal documentation on the page? I'm asking this primarily because they create a bunch of red links here. It's been very annoying to see that. TheOriginalOne (talk) 22:43, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Personally, I prefer to have the doc and the regular template separate, that way, when you update one, the other isn't affected; or to put it another way, the template page isn't updated just for the documentation.
But that is just my opinion. If consensus goes the other way, then I will yield to it.
Tacopill (Talk) 23:37, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Just make it an option so that red links don't have to be created. I like the concept of /doc pages since they stay out of the way from hindering template editing (being and editing in StrategyWiki for some time ago). --RAP (talk) 23:43, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Consensus... Do you think we could do like Bulbapedia (I'm also a contributor there) and create polls for all the users? A poll to decide which of the concepts should be adopted as a convention? (this wiki also lacks necessary conventions) We have a lot of pages matching each point of view, and it would be better to keep them uniform. And pages with a null documentation... All of that. (for a list of polls there, see this page). TheOriginalOne (talk) 17:17, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
I prefer the doc templates myself, mainly because they keep the template code separate from the documentation. Also, for polls, we have the NIWA forums' NintendoWiki board here, if you want to do that. --Moydow 00:47, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
We now have a topic :O. Tacopill (Talk) 02:11, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

How do you add new color schemes?

I was thinking about adding a new color scheme for the Sutte Hakkun series but I don't quite know how to get started. Can you explain how? Thanks. --Torchickens (talk) 12:21, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Never mind, I worked out how. :) Torchickens (talk) 13:28, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
Sounds good. Also, all of this looks good :O. Tacopill (Talk) 23:36, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello!

Itsa-me, Mario! I am new to this wiki. Just wanted to say hi! Mario (talk) 21:57, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello, are you still active?

Greetings. I am GorMor (The Goron Moron), an admin of Zelda Wiki. I would like to inquire about some things regarding NWiki, however I am told that most of the staff in NWiki are now inactive and interest in this wiki has waned considerably since. Seeing as now this wiki appears to be fixed from its earlier crashing, I was hoping to discuss some things if possible. Please respond if you can. Thank you. GorMor (talk) 00:16, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Greetings. What you were told is correct. And while I am not active, I am up for discussing with you for whatever you have in mind. Tacopill (Talk) 22:33, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Alright, well I have a couple of things that I would like to bring up. More might come later, but these are the things that immediately come to mind.
1. I'd like to suggest that the Series Navigation templates, like the ones here be revamped. Right now the way these are set up, it first displays the logo of the series with a show more button that shows the rest. That's fine for 1st and 2nd party games, I think, but I find this more troubling for 3rd party game series, especially those with only a few Nintendo-related installments in them, like Banjo-Kazooie. There's not much of a point in having the game links be hidden by default then if there is not much there.
Another issue, or at least with what I see on the Conker series template, is that it uses the logo from Conker: Live & Reloaded, which is an Xbox remake. And there's only two Nintendo Conker games. I think it would be much more better if perhaps the navigation templates could be formatted more like ours on Zelda Wiki, like this one. The logo can then go to the side, like in that template, as opposed to being a preview display. I think it would also be presented much nicer as well.
2. I think this wiki could also benefit from having a notice template that informs "This page was copied off from Wikipedia, a NIWA wiki or another wiki, please edit it so that it's original" or something. I've noticed that's become a small problem here on the wiki, where some pages are copied directly off of others.
Those are the main things I have thought of for the time being. I have other things I would also be very interested in discussing later, but not right at this moment. What do you think of these suggestions? GorMor (talk) 01:36, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
1. I am in agreement on the changing the template design for 3rd parties could be simplified and have its collapsible-ity removed. I just ask that they match the others visually.
{{clear}}
{| align="center" width="90%" style="{{roundy|15px}} background:#{{Neutral 1st color}}; border: 2px solid #{{Neutral 3rd color}};margin-right:50px;margin-left:50px;"
...
}}
As for Conker, yea... that should be something representative of the entire series, but Bad Fur Day would probably be better as it is the most-known game on a Nintendo System, maybe overall. Lylat Wiki has something similar to the Zelda Wiki template, but that might be something to look at later.
2. Agreed on the Copying template. Unless you were thinking something else.
Tacopill (Talk) 02:27, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
1. Perhaps the compromise be that all Series navigation templates be updated as such then, so that it remains consistent? I think 3rd party game series could do without the logo in their nav templates, as there would be an awful lot of them.
2. Ah, I wasn't aware that template already existed. That's good to know. Thanks. -GorMor (talk) 03:04, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
1. Sure, that makes sense. They probably could use a redesigning anyway, just to keep things fresh.
2. You are welcome. Happy to help.

Hey again, so I got this series template made, and was wondering it would be acceptable enough as a "standard" for third-party series. I would actually like it, if possible, to put "Robopon series" in the header space where the tabs would normally go, to make up for the lack of logo (which I feel isn't necessary for third party series). I regrettably am not the most code-savvy when it comes to templates, so even small, seemingly simple things like this tends to go over my head. -GorMor (talk) 22:35, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
I fixed up the rounding, but otherwise, it looks good. For the header, add it. We can see how it looks, if something needs changing, removing, etc. Tacopill (Talk) 00:36, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Great, thanks. How does it look now? I wasn't sure what to write in the left side. GorMor (talk) 00:45, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Looks all good to me. The left side, will probably be decided on a case-by-case basis. That looks good for that series. Tacopill (Talk) 01:03, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Well for certain. There's some third-party games that have much more extensive series, but for a small, obscure series with only about three games, it's pretty good.
I also wanted to ask a couple more questions over possible policy on something. Regarding the mention of hacks and bootlegs, which I know is likely to be a touchy subject on a Nintendo wiki. To explain on the hacks, Robopon 1 was a pair of games where only the one version got released in North America, thereby requiring that players hack to obtain all Robopon. Is that fine to mention in passing?
On bootlegs, after I'm finished with the Robopon games, I was thinking of moving on to Keitai Denjū Telefang next. This was a real pair of games in Japan, but was bootlegged as "Pokemon Diamond and Jade". I wouldn't write the article about the bootlegs, no. But rather, is it fine that the article body mention they were once bootlegged? They are by far more well known by their status as bootlegged games. If not, that's fine of course. Thanks again. Hello

Thank you. Just want to get this place into shape.

And I am an admin on the Super Mario Wiki.

You are welcome. Also, please keep the conversations on the same page, instead of going back-and-forth between two or more of them. Tacopill (Talk) 22:14, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Sorry. Just the way I'm used to responding to messages on my talk page.
-Toa 95 (talk)
It is ok. Just confuses the heck out of me, trying to keep a conversation strait between multiple pages. Tacopill (Talk) 22:22, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

By the way, since you're an admin here, would you mind deleting this (and by extension the redirect), since it's an entirely unofficial game? Thanks in advance.

Template

If you could help me out with suggestions for this this, namely a solid way to implement a tab for noteworthy people, that would be much appreciated.

Also, don't forget about our discussion on my own talk page.

-Toa 95 (talk)

Ok, I added a people area, and included my suggestions of a way to start grouping them. Not set in stone, just an idea I had rambling in my head.
Also, thank you for the reminder, I did forget. Tacopill (Talk) 22:32, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

Textlight

If you're still around, I would appreciate if you would fix the textlight function for this so that the text in the white areas isn't invisible.

I would try and do it myself but I don't have the user rights to edit some of these templates.

-Toa 95 (talk)

Yea, sorry. Been busy with real life and my own projects. I promoted you so you can experiment with the template and get other things done. Thank you for helping so much on this wiki. Tacopill (Talk) 00:53, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, this'll definitely help me get things done.
-Toa 95 (talk)

Okay, another problem: I've got most necessary links to Inkipedia that I can think of sorted out (pretty much sidebar and exitstub), but I still can't quite get it to work with the game infobox. You mind lending a hand with that?

EDIT: Never mind, figured it out.
