The Super Game Boy 2 (Japanese: スーパーゲームボーイ2) is the Japanese only successor to the Super Game Boy.
The Super Game Boy 2 was released in 1998 and featured various new features including:
- Multiplayer link port
- Power LED indicators (green/red)
- Speed adjustments to be more accurate to a Game Boy
- Eight new built-in borders (note: for games with built-in borders the player may not be able to change the border)
- Game specific features only for Super Game Boy 2 (e.g. new Tetris DX border)
