Wrecking Crew is a Nintendo Entertainment System game. It is a port of the debut game in the VS. Wrecking Crew, the first in the series; a sub-series of the Mario series. Originally, it was released as part of the Family BASIC programmable series, with Mach Rider and Excitebike.
Gameplay
Mario (and Luigi) must demolish objects with a hammer in a playfield. Once the playfield is cleared, a new level begins. The player can move up and down ladders, and detonate bombs. Foreman Spike, Gotchawrench and Eggplant Man will sometimes appear to disrupt the player.
In Design Mode, the player can create their own stages. The Japanese version featured support for the Famicom Data Recorder. The later Wii Virtual Console release added back this compatibility, but not the Nintendo Switch Online release.

Although Ice Climber does not have a sequel, it has been released in numerous forms including a set for the e-Reader, a port in the Classic NES series on the Game Boy Advance as NES Classics: Ice Climber, and an easter egg in Animal Crossing. It is also available on the Wii and Nintendo 3DS's Virtual Consoles.
