Classic Collection[1] is a Nintendo 3DS tech demo consisting of demos of games originally released for older Nintendo hardware. The demo was showcased at E3 2010, alongside the Nintendo 3DS hardware.
Some of these games would later be released as part of the 3D Classics series.
Gameplay
The demo consists of clips of stereoscopic 3D versions of NES and SNES games, including:
- Castlevania
- Excitebike
- Kid Icarus
- Kirby's Adventure
- Mario Bros.
- Mega Man 2
- Metroid
- NES Open Tournament Golf
- Punch-Out!!
- Smash Ping Pong
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
- Tennis
- The Legend of Zelda
- The Mysterious Murasame Castle
- TwinBee
- Urban Champion
Players are able to scroll through the selection of games using the face buttons. None of the games can be played, however; the demos are merely video footage of the above games.[2]
