The Kirby series began in 1992, with the release of Kirby's Dream Land. Core games in the Kirby series are platforming games, in which the character can fly indefinitely as well as inhale enemies and either spit them out or swallow them to obtain a Copy Ability, allowing Kirby to use that enemy's powers. Kirby's Adventure, the second title in the series, was the first to feature Copy Abilities. Many following games have since added their own unique features and abilities.
